Badlands Texas
Anybody else watching that show? I can't explain why but I'm hooked. It's on Natl Geo and is centered on a town in West Texas, called Trulinguia (sp?) population 60. The show was about what it's like to live that lifestyle. One of the most popular residents was the bar owner (go figure). He was a nice guy, young kid really, but was murdered (really). So now the show has switched over to the crime and trial of the accused, another town resident.
I am not in to reality shows but this has me hooked! |

Terlingua...was made famous by none other than Carroll Shelby and his rat pack. They still have their famous chili cook-off there each year along with some other Shelby events.
I haven't heard of the Badlands show on NG, but I'll have to give it a look. I have watched the Badlands show on FX which is an interesting piece of work. Below is a photo taken with the man himself 22 years ago and our SCAT club logo featuring the crazy Terlingua rabbit which is the same rabbit that was painted on the Shelby Terlingua race cars back in the 1960s. Here is some history on Terlingua. http://terlinguaracingteam.com/terli...-team-history/ Bill Neale, who designed the rabbit logo for Shelby and was also a very close friend of his, is also a member of our SCAT club and designed our club logo. He is a very well know automotive artist and painter.
