Well, one of my favorite places to ski is Bear Valley, up Highway 4. I am attempting to snowboard this year. I usually do skate ski, double black D for the thrill of the run. But, my students keep telling me to try snowboarding. Think I will give it a run this year. When I was in college, studying in Europe, I took the train through the snow-covered mountains from Stuttgart, Germany to Barcelona, Spain, in the heavily-snowed, beautiful white of winter, and would watch the skiers jump on and off the train, changing the terrain (and experience) at every change of town along the way. I swore that someday I would return to ski those mountains. There is still time.

I have been a skier since age 4 and was lucky enough to grow up 10 miles from a great Montana ski resort, Bridger Bowl. I have since moved back part time to MT and get to ski Bridger Bowl and Big Sky on a regular basis. Insane skiing last week with over 20 inches of new powder.

Used to race GS with our local ski club - but never top step. Many mango seasons ago...

But have had bronze & silver moments. Now knees shot but can still watch FIS World Cup on TV

Grew up in MI and started skiing at 4 and raced competitively until 20.

Although I have skied throughout the world, I prefer Beaver Creek. Probably because we have a condo there so its hard to justify going anywhere else

I love skiing. I had to learn how to ski all over again after a TBI, but now I'm the Patrol Director of our local chapter of the National Ski Patrol here in Minnesota. Winter is my favorite time of year.




Trying out some new boots this year. We spend a lot of time walking in the treatment room and on the hill working with injured people, and these K2 Pinnacle boots have a nice walk release.





We have two patrol dogs, Hudson, pictured here, and Tele. Both are experts at calming both injured parties and their friends/family.

I've been skiing most of my life...took about a 10 year break due to a knee injury. Gary, Bozeman is beautiful. My parents have a home between Bozeman and Livingston.

Shannon that's so cool! I live right outside Bozeman, south of the University. Bozeman is truly beautiful but I wish the growth would slow down a bit. I am fifth generation Bozeman and miss the smaller town feel. Do you make it our here often?

Wife and I ski too. Heading to Mammoth next week for the Holidays! First time to stay at http://www.juniperspringsmammoth.com/ came highly recommended. Try to get 2-3 trip in per season. Have another scheduled for March (Spring Skiing) Heavenly in Tahoe as well. http://www.marriott.com/hotels/trave...-timber-lodge/ has great ski-on/ski off gondola access.

It has been many years since I have been to Colorado to ski so we will likely be planning a trip. You Guys have any Recommendations for favorite mountains and places to stay in CO?

I tried snowboard for the 1st time last year.
It was tough, I don't think I learned much but it was a lot of fun.

Did you all learned by yourself when you first started? Or you had lessons?

I usually get to Bozeman once a year. My dad lives off the 90 between Bozeman and Livingston. I believe the exit is Jackson Creek Rd. It's truly beautiful out there. When he first built back 1997 Bozeman was tiny. It's amazing how big it's gotten!

Jackson Hole has always been my favorite. Alta is #2.

I've skied Big Mountain in Whitefish Mt for about 6 years now. Great place. Enjoy

Been skiing for about 15 years but I don't get out as much as Id like to. Even worse I haven't been out west or to the alps or anywhere big. Locally we have a small resort I go to 5-10 times a year though and I'm thankful to have skiing within and hr drive.

I've skied 32 days so far this season. 20 hours in the last two days. My legs are heavy tonight. Having a great time directing the ski patrol. I highly encourage retiring and becoming a ski bum.
