And with this one, I am out.

Some of you may remember the struggle I had when I chose to acquire my platinum DD2. There were two dials that I just could not decide between. I ended up purchasing the ice blue concentric roman dial and I absolutely love it. However, as much as I loved the ice blue dial, I was still haunted by the dial I didn't chose. I am happy to announce that I was able to rectify that situation with this last addition to my family. Thanks for reading.

Was it a dial swap or a new watch altogether?

Nice , tho I probably would have sourced two dials and kept both.

I started sourcing the black dial and hands soon after I got my ice blue DD2. It was actually my plan before I made the first purchase. My AD said he would be willing to switch in and out as I like so it made sense to try to get both dial sets. I asked a few sellers here, but was not successful. My AD also couldn't find thru his contacts. With this black dial being available for DD2 in YG, WG and platinum metals, I thought sourcing the dial would be easy. However the YG version wouldn't work because the crown on this dial is gold color. I found a few listings for my dial on eBay but didn't include hands. Also the condition of the dial from what I could tell from photos was not good. Now with Rolex closing the DD2 line I didn't know whether or not this would help or hurt my continued search for the black dial set. So I made the decision to buy the watch.

Wait. This is unclear.

New watch is an addition? Or a swap?

Either way, good for you. But it makes a difference to us common folk.

Love ur watch. It's a perfect piece.
