Icon20 Wanna play a game?(Check this out!!)

What a f#$%ing mess this is!!! I was trying to ask you guys a question before posting, but then my comp crashed. I got it back up and it crashed again!!! So, here is what I was initially going to ask.

Taking these 5 watch brands, what do you think their automotive equivalents would be? Also, share the reasons behind your choices.

Rolex-
Omega-
Breitling-
Audemars Piguet-
Panerai-

For example: A Rolex would be a Rolls Royce b/c it's timeless and elegant, blah, blah, blah That's really unimaginative but,you get the idea.

Rolex - Mercedes. Not the most expensive. Well known, reliable, lower ends are affordable , High end for the well to do's
Omega - Saab. Well built. Most people don't appreciate them for what they can do.
Breitling - Jaguar. Plenty of built in bling. Not everyone likes them. High maintenance ( with battery replacement on those Emergency's)
AP - Dont know enuff to comment
Panerai - Hummer Big Bold, basic, but you can Bling them out

Rolex
Mercedes
A classic. One of the first things that pops into your head when you think of affordable luxury. Timeless styling. Holds it's value very well.

Omega
Land Rover
Long history. Remarkable accomplishments. You can't break them and they'll last forever.

Breitling
BMW
Sporty and luxurious. From basic to bling. More of a specialist machine.

Audemars Piquet
Cadillac
Distinctive looks. Durable workhorse. large and pricey, but good value and appeal to a distinct taste.

Panerai
Hummer
John B described it perfectly. "Big, bold and basic, but can be blinged out". Alot of WOW factor.

Keep in mind, I am very car ignorant.

Rolex - BMW, very nice and sought after, but by no means the be all.

Omega - Chevy, tried and true but will never be mistaken for the big boys.

Breitling - Accura, nice idea with lots of bling options available.

AP - Lamberghini(sp), good looking and lots of talk, but not many people I know have one so it is just that, talk.

Panerai - Mini Cooper, almost a cult following and very cool looking. But both will have to stand the test of time to see if they can achieve what the above brands have.

Cool post JohnnyB.

Rolex - MACK diesel truck, all go and plenty of show. Solid, reliable and ever ready to haul just about anything. Takes all that you throw at it and just keeps on ticking. Massive and strong.

Omega - Honda Accord....quite reliable, good finish and dependable.

Breitling - Volvo - safe, solidity....goes well, plenty of heft and strength.

AP - dunno much about this watch, but certain models I know are very dependable and beautifully constructed just like a European car, say, a Merc or a VW.

Panerai - no experience with this one either. But from the reports I have on this forum, it seems to be like a Sherman tank....very big, large crown and impressive size.

Dman is right about the Panerai & a Mini Cooper.
I have had both , he is bang on.
I get similar reactions about my Pan as I did with the Cooper.
Plus they are about the same size.

Rolex. cross between a Mercedes & Lexus one has the image the other quality .

Omega. Volvo tough and well built but now has a older person image.

Breitling. BMW big and bold likes to make a statement, being and thinking it self to be Superior.

AP. Bentley solid with just that bit inbred of heritage,

Paneria. Landrover tough simple layout a well built workhorse.
