DateJust 41 Stainless
So .... I guess I'll have to wait until next year for a Stainless Jubilee with Blue Stick dial, Fluted Bezel.
Unless we get a surprise mid year. |

I'm in the same boat as I'm sure others are too. No sense in buying a DJII now. I didn't like the proportions of the DJII anyway. But to release the new DJ41 but only in TT was disappointing. But the DJ must be their highest production model. Maybe it is not easy to shift over production of such a big seller all at once.

Same here. I was on the cusp of getting DJII (WG, black stick dial) but have no interest since DJ41 is such an improvement and looks to take over DJII. I'm really trying to figure out the chance that more DJ41 options will be offered next year, specifically WG, black stick dial. Any educated guesses would help me plan

I was on the verge of buying a TT DJII black dial with gold Roman markers, I've decided to wait for the DJ41 with black dial with baton(stick) markers on a Jubilee bracelet when discounted prices start to appear here in the UK around September/October hopefully, Alternatively TT DJII prices may fall when the 41 hits the market....

Please add my application to this club, can't wait to see it but looks like I am going to have to. I (too) was considering a DJ II before the 41 came out, the new movement is what has me excited. Maybe Rolex will pleasantly surprise us and do a release this fall(?).

Id love to see it as well, but Rolex isn't known for releasing many new models outside of Basel.

I'd like to own this SS Date-Just-II and put a Super-Jubilee Bracelet on it.
Do you think it will turn into a Date-Just-41, or simply buy a SS Super-Jubilee once the DJ-41 in SS becomes available? |

Seems like they're cannibalizing their own sales by doing this. Lots of people (myself included) who were looking to buy a SS DJII this year will now want to hold off until a SS DJ41 comes out.

Put it in to perspective - outside of this forum, realistically how many people are familiar with future possible line-ups and Basel releases?! It's always only going to be the WIS's that have that interest and care to know. For most people who buy a Rolex, and that's 99.999% of global buyers, they buy what they like at the time based on whats on sale. Separately, if the SS DJ2 is a great seller, which it is, who knows if the SS DJ41 will even be released next year. So many people became experts on the supposed DJ40 before Basel, and look what happened!! |

I don't understand why people like jubilee bracelet so much.

My wife lovers her 36mm DJ with fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet. As a man, I'd never wear one though.
I wish they made a DJ2 with a light colored dial and no lume or those purple numbers. |

Looking at dj2 and dj41 from their website, it's hard to distinguish any size difference in casing from top, if any. Perhaps the side profile is different.
The baton index on the dj41 is definitely slimmer than dj2 (looking at mine right now)
