Does this bracelet look OK to you guys?

So I'm considering buying this preowned bracelet for my 42mm Offshore.

Local cash deal. Seller is willing to meet at the AD so they can have a look at it also, but I think i trust you guys more than a sales rep at an AD.

So condition is supposed to be 99%.

Anything jump out at you guys as a red flag? Any obvious authenticity issues?

Thanks in advance! Your advice is much appreciated.

How much is the seller asking for it?
Does he have a purchase receipt from whom and when it was bought?

From those angles, it’s impossible to say with any degree of certainty.
You can’t see the polished top edge, the lighting is making it look flat and lifeless, and the logo on the clasp needs its own detailed photo, taken straight on – not at a jaunty angle.

If it’s the real deal, then the seller should not be put out by you asking for definitive proof and more/better photos – you’re in the driving seat, not him.
It’s up to him to convince you, not you assume and convince yourself.

OK thanks very much!

As it turns out this is not the actual bracelet. Not a deception by the seller, I just misread his description. He will send me pictures of the actual bracelet. I will request those specific photos and post them here as soon as I have them.

He is asking $1700 face to face, I'm offering $1550.

I told him I'd like to meet at London Jeweler's here on Long Island, which is an AP AD.

Do you think I should have any concern assuming the AD gives it the OK?

The only thing that comes to mind is that there isn't a current model with the ROO steel bracelet that you can immediately compare to, unless they also do second-hand sales.

On further digging through a lot of images, I would be of the opinion that the photos show a genuine bracelet.
It looks to me, that the A and P on the butterfly sections are closer, and there are a couple of subtle differences on the machined clasp logo, at the foot of each letter.

As for price, I’d say you’re being generous – I’d be wanting to spend no more than $1400.

Why would he send you pics of a bracelet that is not the one for sale? I sold mine unused with stickers for 1800 a few years ago.

Thanks again bud! I have photos of the actual bracelet incoming. However, I've offered $1550 and it doesn't look like we're going to strike a deal so this all may be nothing more than educational which i certainly welcome and appreciate.

Thanks again.

Who are you talking about when you say "they"? I know there is a new style ROO SS bracelet that was created in 2014 by AP. You can buy it from them directly for $2375. Is that what you're talking about?

The bracelet is listed on eBay. The seller apparently sold the same (not exact) bracelet previously in the same exact condition. So instead of taking new pictures he's described it accordingly. There was no disclosure issue in this regard, I just didn't read his description well initially.

I now have photos of the actual bracelet and will upload them. I'm just waiting for photobucket to stop actin a fool. We might not be in agreement on the price, but none the less I would still like to get everyone's opinion on it, in the event that one of us budges.

In this day and age, when someone offers sh!t photos and can’t be bothered their arse to use natural lighting (even if waiting until the next morning/afternoon), then I’m always suspicious about what they’re hiding and don’t want the buyer to see.

I’m going say that I am not wholly convinced that it is the real McCoy.
I’d be 50:50 on it, at best.

Thanks very much! Looks like I'll be dropping some loot at AP for a new bracelet. Unless someone has one they're looking to unload! Someone with better photos ;)
