BLNR or SubC Date, which one would you pick
Hello TRF.
I already have a SubC Date but my buddy want to exchage my SubC for his BLNR even trade. He doesn't care about the value of the watch, he is a diver and he could use the Sub more for his purpose. I am just a novice surfer, my Sub or his BLRN would suffice my use. The question is assume both are equally in price and condition, which one would you pick? I like my SubC for the iconic history and no PCL I like the BLNR because it more exotic and useful GMT timing. However, I am really torn. |

I would keep the Sub C. In my opinion, it's the better daily watch.
The BNLR is a nice, but if it's your only Rolex, keep the Sub C. |

Blnr..great to have a bit of blue in your watch. They do wear a little lower and smaller than Sub C. Try both on

I'd choose the BLNR simply because the BLNR fits my taste better then the SubC.

Keep the SubC. It's more versatile not to mention the most iconic watch in the world.

Do it, if you don't like you can go back to Sub and pocket the difference

Do it 1000% of the time...the blnr is worth over 1000$ more than the sub. unless you don't want the blnr. I would suggest swapping for a week and see how you like it.

I picked the subC over the blnr for daily wearability - but blnr has its perks as well.
Do it for the 'experience' of a new watch alone - and if you ever change your mind, you will have no problems trading back for a subc on these boards in a heartbeat! Good luck and keep us posted. You already know what a subc 'feels' like - now time to get a different perspective! |

In a 1:1 trade? It's a no-brainer, get the BLNR!
If you change your mind later, you can sell the BLNR without any trouble and still get the Sub. |

Trade for the BLNR unless your'e a diver.....and consider if you dive beyond 100m.....even trade makes it even less of a no brainer for me.

Haha. Now I am more confuse, look like we split even on the choices. I already have new Daytona SS bezel, omega Seamaster professional 300M, Datejust, it's not my only watch but never have the GMT yet. As far as pricing, we don't really care if it cost more or less, he is my buddy and he can use my watch anytime he want.

Resale is much stronger on the BLNR so if they are in similar condition you come out ahead, but maybe as he's your friend you add some cash make it a fair swap.

Give the BLNR a try, you already got another dive watch in the form of the Seamaster.

Even trade? You would be making out resale value wise.
IMO, I have the BLNR, SubC LV, SubC Bluesy and I still want to re-add the SubC Date back! Just a masterpiece of a design. |
