Authenticate this listing please

https://sg.carousell.com/p/52967407/?rank=21

Hi, could the experts on here authenticate this listing for me? I know the quality isn't great but these are the only pics the seller is providing.

If anyone can chime in on some of the top tips to spot a fake GMT Master 2 116710 please do let me know ASAP as I'm meeting this guy tomorrow.

Thank you!!

Singapore - home of the "ultra super fake" (my words)
I agree need more photos of dial, rehaut including serial number, that said nothing screams fake (yet)

Sorry, but trusted Sellers get fake stuff too, and can unintentionally sell it.

The watch needs to be verified regardless of who you buy it from.

Yes you are right. But I would buy here from a trusted seller where I would never buy a watch from Ebay or a jewelers site. Even on ebay if I look and I see 100% feedback I have seen stuff that makes no sense. Like I just saw today a SEL bracelet for sale. In the story the guy said it came from his 16800 he brought new. That can't happen. SEL didn't come out for subs until A serial numbers. Which were well into the 16610.

But I agree. Verify everything!

I'm not speaking to the authenticity of this watch, but the price seems really high. The BLNR comes up a lot on TRF, usually around $8500, give or take, and from trusted sellers. Best of luck! :0)

That is Singapore dollars, which comes out to 7764 USD.

Pictures are just pictures. What you'll see tomorrow could be different.

Hope you're meeting somewhere safe.

From the picture it looks like its real because of the hand stack. But they have fakes now with correct hand stack using the Yuki movement and rolex parts. So I would not trust anything unless I see it.

And if you saw it, how would you then tell? If that "YUKI" movement is truly made with Rolex parts (which it is NOT!) - how would you know?

Thanks
adam

Sorry just saw this and I know its old. It is hard to tell by looking at it. I guess you would need to take the back off and look at the movement. I doubt they changed the whole movement over to Rolex or it would be a rolex. I know that the Rolex balance is amazing so that is where I would look if it were me. Bottom line. If I want a Rolex either I buy all the parts and make it myself or I go to Rolex and buy it or I actually believe in the sellers here. That is odd because I don't trust anyone. But being a member here I look all the time at the for sales section and trust the opinion of the people here and the sellers here that are vetted by the admin here. This is one of my favorite sites. Local pawn shops and ebay and online sellers just worry me. I had my sites on a 16803 case at a local pawn shop/ auction house. I know the owner. He comes to my friends shop all the time. I got his jeweler down to a good price. Which was $1600. It was a case with box and papers. They has a ok story had sold the band and bezel for the gold and some other crap. Well. I have a full 16803 that I had built with a star time case. I got so excited. Now I can have a full complete Rolex 16803. Well. I get home. I go to swap everything over. Not real. My dial, movement barely fit into the "Real" rolex case. I got my money back of course. I will only buy a Rolex from Rolex or I build it or here on the for sales section. I have brought here and NEVER had an issue. Sorry for the late reply.

Authetic 2001 Datejust 26 Ladies Mother of Pearl with Diamond

Please can someone assist me.
I would like some history on the Datejust 26 Year 2001 as I have the opportunity to buy one
For example , what year was ROLEX engraved on the inside rim of face introduced? The 2001 model doesnt have anything
The 2001 model doesnt have engraving on the backplate - is that correct?
I can see a Rolex etching on glass face at bottom - is that correct?
My husbandd has a 2015 Milgaus and he has engraving on back and inside rim and so I am abit confused.
Any background would greatly help me

2002 - Started Laser Etched Crown (exception Milgaus green glass)
2005(started) 2007 (completed) - ROLEXROLEXROLEX on rehaut
2010 - 8 digit serial numbers.
(Serial numbers always always on rehaut by 2007)

Hope that helps

To OP:

Just look at how this seller is listing the item.
To call it the BATMAN and not by its model number to me is a tell at how inexperienced this seller is at a best case scenario. It could only get worse from there.
I would not, but i am not a gambling man.
Good luck

Rehaut is the etching someone else mentioned, you have to look at that and how it lines up. Models after a certain year have a coronet etched at 6 but some don't but the fakers are doing that too.
