What does everyone do for a living??

I myself, am in sales and have been for most of my life.

I currently buy and sell all manner of antique firearms. Mostly Colt and Winchester. There are others but they aren't the bulk of my business.

I've sold everything from cell phones when no one really had them to cars and motorcycles.

I also dabble in gold and some larger diamonds. I'm currently perusing a new career in Real Estate.

Just curious as to what others do.

I don't work. I did for 44 years and then decided enough was enough.

Began working the Trades after High School. At 23 decided to pursue a career in the Fire Service. Fast forward 4 years and I am GM of a Private Ambulance company in Toronto, Owner of a Masonry business, Technical Rescue Specialist on "Big Time" (for Canada) film sets and still pursuing my dream of becoming a Full Time Firefighter (have my second interview with Toronto in the next couple of weeks).

To become a Firefighter in this part of Canada you have to put in your time and prove to the FD that you are willing to devote your career to them. Still very Military in this respect.

Cheers,

Damien

I retired 30 April 2016 from the US Marine Corps after 20 years of service. I'm currently being vetted for the Veterans Affairs and should be starting sometime next month.

My father was a Marine. Semper Fi Sir.

I tried for The Corp. But failed due to medical conditions. The biggest regret of my life was being unable to serve.

Thank you for your service.

Out of high school I worked several jobs, couldn't hold a job for 6 months. then at 21 I worked for an auto finance company and did stand up comedy part time. At 26 I did it full time and still do it to this day at 31.

Currently a Pawnbroker and college student. It's a pretty awesome job, especially at 22. Always fun buying Rolexes with your bosses money.

Military for 30 years then on to civil service. Plan to retire next year, we'll see if it happens as I am still not ready to do nothing full time.

It's looks like excellent work David. I particularly like the amplifier covers. They look great

Thanks for the kind words Rogdogg

I have made a couple of watch boxes in the past as commissions (both gifts from memory) they both were incredibly basic so much so I don't think I even bothered to photograph them.

I am however currently playing around with some design ideas for my own watch box. Probably in a similar style to the walnut boxes in the attached pic. Currently thinking of making it large enough to hold two layers of watches (as I expect my collection will grow) with an extra space to store spare straps.

One day I may get round to making it...
