Bought another Rolex, and this is your fault!

A couple of weeks ago I posted my new Rolex YM II with a little story about how I ended up buying the yellow gold model despite the negative opinions lots of people have about that watch.

Well, you guys showed great support and all comments were very positive, which made me want to spend more time here at the Forums and learn more about Rolex watches.

I was in Tokyo last week, and out of curiosity I searched the forums to see if anyone had posted anything about buying a Rolex in Tokyo. There were a few suggestions about stores so I decided to "go look".

I was looking for "The Hulk", I really want one, but apparently the 116610LV is ridiculously popular in Japan. I found a couple but they were all above the MSRP, I could get one from my local dealer for cheaper, so I decided to pass on that.

I did find another one that I thought about buying a few years ago due to the history of the watch and my profession. I'm an engineer, so the Rolex Milgauss has been in my mind since I learned about it.

I found it new at Jack Road in Nakano for roughly $6,500. Date of June 3, 2016 with a 5 year warranty, box, papers, etc...brand new watch. I couldn't pass it.

So now I own a beautiful Milgauss thanks to you, awesome community!

Here are some pictures of the Milgauss "Z Blue" dial with the green tinted sapphire crystal, next to a couple of tools that engineers depend on heavily.

Learn more about the Milgauss here: http://www.ablogtowatch.com/rolex-mi...16400gv-watch/

P.S. I'm still looking for a good deal on "The Hulk"...it's going to happen.

Very nice Gus... always liked the Milgauss ... may have to put one on my "wish list" ... I'll be in Tokyo in a few weeks time - I may just happen to walk by that shop and have a look-see...

cheers

Awesome. You'll get a better deal because the Yen is getting weaker. When I bought it the Yen was at 104.25 per dollar, I think it will be around 110.

Here is another tip for you; on the same floor where Jack Road is, there is another store selling Rolex watches that has the yellow gold YM II for $20K.

I didn't buy it because I thought it was too cheap plus I was with my wife who thought it was a huge risk to buy it and then try to sell it here in the states.

I didn't even ask them to let me see it because I knew that if it was real I was going to buy it. But maybe you can take a look, of its really new with the 5 year warranty you could easily get $30K for it!

I wish I had done it myself!
