Which one to wear out of these if you were going to the Oylmpics ?
Starts August 5th and it's in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. I should remain neutral between Brasil and United States if they meet up in a match and my watch should represent both or neutral
I have the following watches in no particular order.. 16710 116710 116610LVc 116713 116619 Black Bay Red Here are the flags in no particular order No security issues I was thinking my SS GMT IIc

Ugly has hell so it'll never get stolen, and has several useful survival features for when the electricity goes out, the criminals take full control, and marshal law is instituted. |

I avoid wearing any expensive watch even when the state fair comes to town and if I do wear an expensive watch, I stay away from the fair grounds area. Tons of thieves follow those things around and crime spikes every year.

The 116710 GMT Master II get's my vote! That'll likely be my next watch mainly because of how versatile I feel it is.

Brasil can be dangerous and Rolex can be a no-no
Take the Tudor if you must or buy a g-shock if you must know the time Unless you'll have a certain level of security with you Only time I went there my company put me in an armored vehicle

I'm sure there will be plenty of police around the events areas but the BlackBay.... Is the safest bet. Not as recognizable as Rolex.

You mentioned "no security issues", if that's the case them definitely the GMT Master II. However, if you're not certain about security, I would take a cheap watch and try not to attract attention in general.

If you have absolutely no security issues then the GMT is the way to go. If any concerns, go low key as possible.

If you are in Rio and you believe you have no security issues, you have security issues.
Expensive watches attract trouble like raw meat attracts yellow jacket wasps in dangerous areas. |

I agree, unless you have an armed bodyguard at your side, no Rolex on the wrist at Rio.

Man, that's a tough call. I'd go with the 116710 as it will be the most neutral in a US vs. Brasil situation.
Have a great time! I hope you'll post pics for us to enjoy! |
