On a lighter note

Just a bit of good on a sad day. Holly and I have been watching our kids dog Stella while they are in St Marten. Stella was rescued in the city from a house where she was about to be used as dog fighting bait. She is a "special needs" dog, her lower jaw never fully formed, eating is interesting, she snores like a drunken sailor and, well her tongue always hangs out as there's no lower jaw to cover it.
Kooky dog.

She has maybe an inch or an inch and a half, from the tongue back towards her body is the only part of a jaw that she has. She couldn't bite anybody if she tried.

Looks like a very nice, lovable dog Tim.
Very good of you and Holly to watch her for the "kids", as a kennel should be a last resort.

sometimes dogs make for better companions (and friends) than people.

I can tell just by looking at the pics, maybe she doesn't have a lower jaw but her heart is as big as an elephants!
