Straight trade 1675 for M 16600 SD?

A guy wants to trade me even for my 1675 box/papers/tags 148xxxx serial for his new never worn M serial 16600 SD. I'm second owner on the 1675 and have all receipts from Rolex Dallas over the last 20 years I've owned it. Figured my 1675 to be worth around $5000 (Paid $900 for it!). Seems like a good deal on my end, but wondering 10 years down the road, my gut says these 1675's are gonna jump. I've always wanted a SD but this 1675 has SO MUCH sentimental value as my daily wearer for the last 22 years I don't know what to do. I'm leaning towards keeping it. Thoughts?

"M" SD's are everywhere. Anybody can have one at any time,

Decent 1675's are hard to come by and ones with valid provenance even more so..

The 1675 will raise faster than a modern SD.

It looks like you have a Luminova dial and hands at the 1675, right?

If so it will be worth a lot more if you still have the orginal dial.

I haven´t trade, but that i just my humble opinion.

Good luck whatever you do.

What is best a custom Rolex or a Rolex that is stuck in custom?

I am curious if it was your first Rolex. If it was I would for sure say keep it. Either way it seems very sentimental, and because of that alone I would say keeps..

I would keep the 1675. With all the bits the watch is very attractive. As jocke notes it looks to possibly be a luminova dial, but with the T<25 markings a bit of a rarity. That dial was used circa 1998-2003 or so and is not one seen everyday.

That is not a trade I would make, the 1675 is proabably the most under valued Rolex sport model out there. If you look at the prices of a 1675 a year ago vs what they are selling for today you will see a huge jump! If it were me, I would try to pick up a nice pre-owned SD and save some $$$.
