I've been offered a trade for a Tudor Submariner 7928. My knowledge of this reference is limited, and the owner is unable to provide much info. Can anyone provide me with some info on this piece based on the picture below?

Unfortunately, it's not great. The insert is questionable. The dial looks like a poor redial. The hands seem too new. Do you have a profile or rear shot? It may be entirely a knockoff. I would need to see more. From what I do see, this is just a case and a movement. I need more to see if these parts are legit.

Thanks for the feedback. Here are two additional pics. Not particularly good quality though.

Yeah, the case back is all wrong. Study a 7928 that is for sale on this site. Look at the depth and quality of the engraving. The pic above shows poorly defined stamping. Light. Same with the dial. It's all wrong. Look at the depth printing. Blurry. Bad fonts.

I don't like to get uber specific since the fakers read these discussions. I don't want them to know how we tell. Sounds kinda depressing.

dial is a bad respray, band is fake, case is questionable need better pics

As mentioned previously dial hands insert (97%) are all fake - actually first fake on the THAT insert I have seen. Case is not good and never seen a double chin caseback before
