Wild weather....

Well, the wild weather in my part of the world continues......

As I write this we have a pretty good thunderstorm going on, and the high temperature today is supposed to be 16 degrees C. Overnight that will drop to -1 C, and I expect tomorrow morning will be bad in terms of road conditions, etc.

I can't ever recall the weather being as messed up as it has been this winter.....

Remind me never to pay you and Jacqui a visit at this time of year. Now, tell me....when would be a convenient time and month (weatherwise) for me to drop in?

Well I woke up Sunday morning to about 4 inches of snow.

Our is the same out west.
Friday/Saturday it snowed about 4 inches ( we rarely get snow to start with). Then the sun came out Saturday & by the afternoon most was gone & it was around 14-15 degrees. Sunday, beautiful & sunny, I sat on the back deck ala summer attire.

I was listening to CBC on the way in this morning. They said Ottawa is getting rain and freezing rain with the temp rising all day (and night) to 12C tomorrow morning.

Up in northern Ontario they're having blizzard conditions and then there's the lake affect weather in southern/southwestern Ontario.

Very bizarre!

Same thing here Al. Yesterday was in the high 80's, last night we had some really bad thunder storms and today it is sunny in the 60's. Spring can't make up it's mind.

Same thing here Al. Since Fri it's been in the mid to high 50'sF. On the way home from work tonight at 5pm, it was 61F. Rain, thunder and lightning all day. Now tomorrow, it's going to drop back into the 30s and 20s for the rest of the week. WTF?

I wish you guys could send some of that weather down under. In my part of the world, grey skies are a treat and if it rains we all go outside and dance with a beer in our hands!
Our reservoirs are nearly dried up and we are getting used to brown water.
Cattle stocks are at an all time low and beef prices have gone through the roof.
Just be thankful all you feel is a bit cold, because when the springtime finally arrives, everything will be nice and green.

That sounds like some unfun times. Hope the drought breaks soon for ya mate.

Well it's official, we had the warmest winter on record this year. However things have changed as yesterday we had high temperatures and thunderstorm warnings, and today cold temperatures and snow squall warnings.......
