Good luck in there. I would tell you to stop, but, what fun would that be!

I'd like some details if you would oblige:

What is it?
Why this one?
What are the features you look for?
Was it impulse?
Do you already have backpack?
Is this a replacement or addition?
Do you like their funcky new colors or do you stick with black?

I ask because I too love tumi. But I've got everything I need. Maybe someday I'd get a roller, but I love my duffel and it seems to suit my every need.

I love all their new stuff, but I'm so happy with what I've got, I'm not buying anything. I guess it's different than watches for me. With watches I just keep looking for the perfect one. With my gear, I tend to be happy until I need something else or a replacement.

Curious what your motivation is.

1. Alpha 2 T Pass Backpack.

2. It is the most versatile and durable backpack I have ever had. It has enough room to act as an overnight bag (or even longer) and the features that really assist. For example, when traveling for business it has a special padded compartment for a laptop, along with several easy-access pockets to quickly grab your wallet, plane ticket, passport etc. It has nice little features like an attached key chain and others that make it an ideal travel/utility bag. I also use it to take my work out gear when heading to the gym (clothes, running shoes, shower stuff).

3. I had a previous version of the same backpack for the last five years, this is a replacement. My old one was holding up very well, but definitely showing signs of age. I gave the old one to a young kid at work, who also loves Tumi (but can't afford it) and works very hard; a deserved "gift" (besides, gave me a reason to buy a new one ). Impulse? Not really, although my old one surely would have lasted quite a while longer; I had been thinking about replacing it. The conversation I had with the co-worker in Mexico, and seeing the true appreciation he has for Tumi (like I do) gave me enough excuse that now was the time to get the new one, and give him the old.

Love it. Makes me want to go out and get one.

Paul, does it have a special secret compartment to store Anna? Do you need to put her in the tray when you're in the security line at the airport?
Seriously, nice bag!

That was a very nice gesture on your part and I am sure your co-worker will really enjoy it!

Its a sweet bag and I am sure the new one will bring you as much joy as your old one will bring the new owner!

Looks Good! You really just needed to get your Tumi Fix in. I'm sure you are feeling better already.
