A G-shock pilot i once owned now on Amazon for $2500

Well, you hate to see that happen. I first saw this watch a few years ago and I really wanted to have it for use in uniform. After searching for months bought one on eBay for $150 ($300 MSRP), but it wasn't as comfortable as my suunto core and it started to collect dust in the case. Eventually thinned out my collection of less expensive watches and I sold it off for $140 i think not even a year ago.

Well now to my surprise I stumbled across this on amazon and i cant find one anywhere on the internet. I mean, i know they were sought after when i was looking for one in 2014, but $2600? What the hell? This guy just trying to cash in because there aren't any anywhere

Supply and demand at its finest. I love G shocks but my upper limit is about $250.

Last night, just for giggles, I looked up my childhood Swatch from 1986. I was amazed that it now sells for $90!

I had many Swatch Watch's when I was a teenager. I think they were $30 back then.

Things on Amazon, especially older/discontinued items, get priced ridiculously high but it doesn't mean anyone is paying that much.

I have an a Leica C-lux camera that cost $600 new but is now discontinued. Prices range from $799-$3,500 for what is now an outdated, underwhelming compact camera. I highly doubt there are buyers out there

I would do some digging before buying that. Found this one that was up for sale last week.

I'm not sure how stuck you are on color, but here's one in orange for a much better price.

https://smile.amazon.com/G-SHOCK-COC...TEEBRPS9AN86RB

There once was and still may be a bug in Amazon's code that gives some pretty outrageous prices for some pretty mundane articles.

There was once a ceramic Buddha for sale on Amazon for about a million dollars and you could buy the same one over at Archie McPhee for about twenty.

I buy a lot from Amazon, but I'm pretty leery of prices that seem out of hand.

Just because he has it listed for $2600 doesn't mean it will sell at that price and until it sells at that price, it is still worth $140

I agree with all of you here I just couldn't believe the markup they're trying to do. Trust me I would never pay this for a Casio. I'm not in the market for another one but just found it interesting. G-shocks are great though, Cant kill them. I wear a suunto core everyday in uniform and as this is an amazing watch I've already been through 4 of them on warrenny because they just aren't as durable as g-shocks.
