Cerachrom bezel on Everose Daytona with bracelet???

Hi fellas,

I always value your opinions and therefore would like to ask what do you think of this small modification on the 116505 Daytona?

For myself, I think it looks stunning. I'm thinking of swapping the original rose gold bezel (letters are fading) for the new Cerachrom bezel you find on the 116515. I found one for a decent price.

Like they say, a picture is worth a thousand words so without further ado:
(I want to insist that this picture is not mine and it has been borrowed from the internet).

Best,

As long as it's a genuine Rolex bezel I'm all for it. Love the RG ceramic Daytona and it's even better on a bracelet.

It's a watch many here have been clamoring for since the RG ceramic first appeared. I'm curious where you are sourcing the bezel from and if it fits properly. I hope they offer it soon from the factory as it looks sensational.

Personally, I think the full gold Daytonas are perfect as-is. Why trade gold for cerachrom?

I don't think an OEM bezel is available or will fit but if RSC say yes then go for it, but def don't put an aftermarket/fake part on a PM Rolex and make it a franken. So which is it?

I was going to order from there https://www.time4diamonds.com/parts/bezels.html but they are out of stock. They just happened to have one which they sold. They told me Rolex wouldn't sell them just the bezel but I can get it from Rolex myself. Why not them? I found some discrepancies as they say on the website that the bezels are original but then they told me that Rolex wouldn't sell them just bezels so... Who knows?? Maybe Rolex agrees to issue the bezel on condition of letting them install it themselves.

I think it looks spectacular and more up to date, in the same league as the other PM sports models such as the Platona, Sub or GMT ll.

I will make sure I source it from Rolex. I called the RSC over here and they told me that they can order it and install it for me and then of course test if it seals properly. It is quite pricey though. Around $1500 I have been quoted.
I am wondering if they agree to take mine back and give me a substantial discount

I hear you but I can see the letters starting to fade (I am slightly OCD as I mentioned before) as well as the gold bezel being a scratch magnet. I love the gloss of the cerachrom with the rose gold numerals that complement the case and the bracelet. Nevertheless, I might keep the original bezel if Rolex don't take it in, in case I want to go back to the original look.

Yeah it is available for something like $1500 from RSC and it is an easy installation. Both bezels use the same inserts. I will update pictures when I complete the swap.
And I won't make it franken don't worry

Well said!

Although appealing, you will turn this breathtaking watch into a non-existing Frankentona...id leave it this beauty the way it is. At least we're not talking about a fake bezel, seen the fakes in person and they look insanely cheap to me...not even close. Think it over first, this is a no joke watch to begin with!

Go for it, because odds are in the next year or two it'll probably be offered as standard. Looks great too!

Sounds good from RSC. Don't deal with time4diamonds, I've talked with them a few times and they BS and false promise too much for my liking.

I have that exact same watch and that to me looks terrible imo. Why ruin the watch like that? Whats with this obsession with ceramic bezels? Almost every single rolex model has the brittle ceramic bezel now. I don't see the appeal.

Have to say that looks really stunning! Hoping that in 2017 we have ceramic bezels on the WG Daytonas!!

That looks awesome, as long as the new bezel being installed is genuine Rolex. Nothing cool about aftermarket bezels.

If I would wear rose gold, that would be the first watch I'd be considering...and with that bezel, I think it'd be a slam dunk. Good luck in getting it done, I'd love to see more pics if you do.

Now that's a good looking Daytona! I only wish there was more contrast between the dial and the hour, minute hands.
