NEW ~ Mercedes-AMG C63 R Coupe!

Good looking machine, minus the rear wing affixed to the trunk lid. IMHO

Lose the wing, make the trunk lid match the rest of the car, price it under $100K, and it's a winner!

C63S Coupe can be had for around 90K loaded. That's plenty of car.

I have seen the C63S coupe in the flesh, and it is stunning. The lines actually resemble the S coupe. It looks classy and aggressive all at the same time. The previous generation C63 coupe were horrendous. The C63S coupe is a home run. This R coupe looks a little off with that massive wing.

Cool looking car. In sure the wing is totally functional so removing it would be counterproductive.

I do not like the black/CF trunk, though. It looks like it belongs on a 1990s Civic, not a 100K+ Mercedes.

I agree they need a revamp past the rear tires.

I don't love the lines either, but I'm sure it's a hell of a ride.

I think it might look alot better if it were black or silver.

I'm sure it's a beast though

The wing won't make it to final production methinks. It's prolly there to test handling without the driver risking an oversteer incident.

As for Hyundai - they copied the 63's lines long ago so the Sonata looks like an M-B.

Apart from that ghastly rear wing, I really like it. Way too expensive for me though.

Should give Seth some pause for thought as he recovers

C Coupe is a pretty car on the outside.

The inside is horrid with the awful stick on style fake iPad screen like in the A Class. Lowers and cheapens the car. I would not buy one solely because of this.

The wing will be on the production model just as it is on an M4 GTS. There would be no point to put it on a test mule to increase downforce and then remove it for the general public

Starts at $163K here in Australia. Doubt you'd get it on the road for under $170K.
Don't mind the side and rear styling but feel the front is not as attractive as previous models. I'd rather have the new 6 speed manual Jaguar F Type Coupe any day.

p.s. notice how the plastic fronts & rears are gradually creeping towards the middle of the cars.

I like the shape of and enjoy driving my old '07 AMG but I think they have lost the plot with the new exterior designs.

I just can't get over the trunk and tailights.
Whenever Mercedes shrinks down a car (S to C, CLS to CLA) it just doesn't come out right.

But you get the same car for 1/3 of the price, so I guess compromises have to be made.

But yea, that black tail should be changed. Maybe it'll be an option when they release it in the US...
