You have an extremely rare piece there and may I even venture to say one of a kind. The dial appears to be a refinish job but obviously was performed by a master-craftsman and therefore should have little to no negative effect on the value.

If you can source a crown to finish it off the sky would obviously be the limit. You have hit the jackpot my friend and Antiquorum or Sotheby's is the only way to go!

Ooh that's the rare no crown Submariner. Jocke Cousteau gave this watch to the guys in his office once he as them wearing the Subs that his divers never got. These watches were especially made for those who never saw the water!

Is that an M Series with the new 3186???

Can you run with that on?

Can you wear that to the beach?

What will happen if you sleep with it on?

Is the white face going to be worth more in the future?

Sorry for all of the questions, but I'm new here and am just trying to make the best decision regarding the purchase of a new watch that I'll probably never wear on my wrist.

That reminds me, you don't actually wear that watch do you?

Nice post Steve. Love the sarcasm!

Steve...I'd like to pm you an offer....I take my meds every day at 1:50 p.m. and that watch is PERFECT for me!

Hopefully, the price for the "Ten 'til Two" Rolex is falling like the Milgauss GV.

Hi Steve and welcome to the forum if you stick around you may learn something. I am not an expert but I think you may have any early example of the Bart moon anniversary model. Normally this is is yellow. Your example is very rare and seems to be a rough prototype. I will have to consult my reference books but I think yours is the "barking at the moon" version.

I don't like the look of the hands they may have been replaced at some stage, anyway I sure one of our experts will be along later.

I don't believe you really have the watch, I think you stole the pics for this obviously very rare Rolex. Can you please take a picture of the watch with the hands at 5:35 PM and post them? I might be interested in purchasing this specimen; and I do mean "specimen."
