1675....service dial

I was interested this 1675 from my best friend. He told me that the serial number about 6.5 M and year 1979-1980.
So I am not sure about the dial and hands that it's match with the years, or it's the service dial.

Dial is fine..

For a 16750 the hour hand is below the GMT hand, I thought?

Recheck the serial, if you can..
It may then be 5.5 mil ' ish
This dial appears to be a Mk-4 and would be proper then..

6.5 million, that is the highest serial number for a 1675 GMT that I have seen. I've had GMT 16750s with 6.1 million serial numbers.

Thank you everyone. I told my friend to recheck S N again.

I have two questions

- if this 1675 is in late or very late 70's , why the dial is not MK 6 or MK 5?

- the bezel insert is correct? I see it slightly slim font?

thank you very much

I know you are a GMT fan... just as a matter of interest, I concur. My own GMT16750 which I purchased personally from AD in July,1981 has serial number 6,127,nnn

If your friend is going to check the serial have him send you a battery of pics you can post and you'll get a lot more feedback about the overall continuity of the watch. Personally, I like the insert, its a got some funky wear on it but I like it.

My friend told me that he was wrong, so the S/N is 5.5 M as Time to go mentioned it above.

So thank you very much for every comments.
