request for thoughts and prayers

Hey guys. I love the forum, and all of you guys (and gals) make me laugh, and are so helpful when it comes to this wonderful hobby. As you can see in my signature, I own three rolex watches, and the 16610 is VERY special to me for my Dear Grandfather gave it to me as a gift for my accomplishments. My grandfather means the world to me and without his wisdom and support I would not have become the young man I am today. He started this all for me, the day he let me wear two tone diamond dial datejust when i was only 8 years old!!!!!! he has been the most loving person ever....and just a few days ago, he suffered from some very serious heart problems and had surgery on his heart. I thought my world was collapsing around me.....he made it throuh the surgery ok and is recovering...but we are still not through the woods. so if you guys could just keep him in your thoughts and prayers (if you believe so) I would greatly appreciate it. thank you all so much for your support and this amazing place to come and unwind! his name is Marty martinez. so please pray for him. thanks so much. may god bless you all, and may you all have a great weekend.
-Justin

Hi Justin try not to worry,my dad is 79 he had a triple by pass and a graft to his valve, 4 weeks ago.I cant tell you how bad the first weeks after the op were. He seemed to have lost his mind. After about 2 weeks, things started to get better and bit by bit he is coming back. He has today walked to the bottom of his drive it is 100 yards or so.This is the affect a big op has on the old guys. It takes a while to recover. Hope this gives you a boost. I will say a prayer for your old fella. and wish him all the very best.

I'm a man of faith, and you sure do have my prayers, we prayed some time ago for one of JJ's grandchildren and all came together

God Bless!

My mom had open heart last August and we were very blessed to have one of the top specialists in the world at Mass General in Boston do the surgery.

Thank god she went through it with flying colors and a year later she runs, yoga, and lives a very active life!

Modern medicine is wonderful! But hopefully the US government will come up with a way so that everyone can have the best care not just those that can afford it.

Justin,

Of course my wife and I will join with others on this board in prayer and thoughts for your grandfather.

One of the greatest gifts in life are the legacies that our grandparents give to us. I am not speaking of material possessions, but of character and integrity. Your grandfather had added a measure of both to your life that you will never lose. What a tremendous gift. You are indeed a fortunate man.

We are praying for and thinking of you.

If you don't mind. What is his first name? It just helps me to pray specifically.

A Prayer from the Greek Orthodox Church for the sick

O Almighty Lord, Jesus Christ, Son of God and Savior. The same Lord that so loves His children as to lay His life down for them. The same Lord that rose from the dead on the third day, and Ascended into Heaven. The same Lord that spoke the word and the Centurion’s Servant was immediately healed. The same Lord that restored sight to the blind; cleansed lepers, cured the halt and lame. The same Lord that with a word rebuked the seas and they were calm. The same Lord that raised Lazarus from the dead. The same Lord that has been given all power both in Heaven and on earth, do Thou, the same Lord visit and heal Thy servant Marty from the afflictions that they are now suffering. Strengthen our faith like that of the Roman Centurion, so that we may ask for this healing with the same faith, trust, and hope that Thy servant Marty will be healed in the same manner that the Centurion’s servant was restored to health. O Holy physician of our souls and bodies, hear this fervent prayer for Thy servant Marty and grant this request as we hold this, Thy servant up before Thy glorious Throne. We ask this in the victorious and Holy Name of our Lord, God, and Savior, Jesus Christ - AMEN.
