My tale of woe, the story of 3 watches

Wow, three Rolex watches broken in 3 weeks. Not really what I expected when I jumped with both feet into the Rolex pool. About a month ago I got my first Rolex, a green Submariner. A real gem of a watch. Not understanding the delicacies of this timepiece, I stupidly took a helicopter ride while wearing it. Anyone with any brains knows what the catastrophic result was. I was kicking myself and was really down. Luckily, my gem of a wife told me I could get another Rolex to wear while I was getting the first one fixed. So I got a DSSD. Now I am not exactly sure what happened to my new DSSD but I think when I showered with it, the hot steam caused overpressure in the helium escape valve and my watch flooded. To top it off, my wife forgot to take her Rolex off before she went to bed and got dust in the movement. So there you have it, in less than a month of Rolex ownership I am sending three in for service.

BTW, thanks for the tips about who to send my watches to, KENT said he will have them all done in a jiffy!

Dust in the movement before going to bed? Flooded watch designed for the depths? Helicopter incident? Did it crash???

What was that?

Or go dancing.

For those of you scratching your head everything in the OPs joke comes from a ridiculous post over the last couple of weeks. Good recap

Sorry to hear of all the troubles - but on the bright side, at least Bigfoot didn't get it. You'd probably have to wipe that watch down at least 10-20 x day when/if you ever retrieved it just to get the stank off, and there's no telling how stretched the bracelet might be - could always send off to M.Y. though I suppose , if you don't mind all those permanent links...

BTW, now that you're not wearing your Rolex, aren't you the least bit worried that your friends will think you're getting a divorce?

You were told in a previous thread just how dangerous that pesky steam can be to a DSSD.
Remember, the He valve is only for He, no other molecules are allowed to be used...

Are you sure it was the helicopter ride that did it......I heard you were seen jumping on a trampoline while wearing your Sub.
