Share your unpopular Rolex opinion(s).

Just for a bit of fun. I'll start off, but with 2 actually.

1. I don't think the Submariner is a great looking watch (my Dad thinks I'm mad)

2. I don't think the Daytona is a great looking watch (my brother thinks I'm mad)

In fact the pair of them can't fathom my thought process, but it is what it is, haha.

On the contrary, I think you'll find that your opinion is quite popular in that most people won't agree with *me*

That really got a morning chuckle out of me

The entire YM line falls under the category of fugly ..... but my opinion could change it has in the past

I absolutely hate PCL's that opinion most likely won't change!

Few modern Rolexes cause me to get excited. I generally like the older ones (four and five digit models) better.

Also the new Sea Dweller should be renamed the Sub Dweller!!!

The Hamilton Khaki Field Auto 38mm is 70% as beautiful as a 39mm Explorer for 7% of the cost.

A watch out only needs to be 1% off to turn your opinion so I guess that 30 of those is a little!

Even though I know quite a bit about watches (now) the Submariner is still my favorite Rolex (that is until I get my hands on a Daytona, then who knows.)

Ahem, IMHO Rolex should officially rename the Submariner to something like:

No Date Sub, or Submariner ND, or SubC ND

This will keep so many people from being wrong all the time...might help their self esteem or something. lol

I'm with you on that but you forgot to add the "none date" and "non date" versions as well, perhaps Rolex really should stick with Submariner and Submariner date

Anyone who wears a YG Rolex is probably a pimp because they certainly look like one. I will concede, however, that if they can afford to wear a YG Rolex, they must be a very successful pimp.

I have no use for any kind of watches oriented for use in the deep sea! I hate thick, blocky and too large for my wrist watches! No interest in anything Tudor.
There I said it.

I think the solid gold GMT with the Green dial is ugly.
I dont care for the BLNR. Looks cartoonish, almost like a litte kid that is trying to hard.

While I am sure these opinion are not popular with many, they relate to personal taste and preference which we all have. I have a TT Bluesy, I have buddy who hates two tone, tells me it looks like bunch of gold teeth on my wrist! Were all different, thats what makes this hobby fun!

Polar Explorer II looks like a kid's toy. Also, I dislike all modern Daytonas.

You just got it totally wrong:

White gold is like dringking vodka and water with bear taste. It tastes like bear (the weight of gold), it is alcoholic (it is gold), but it doesn't look like bear (looks like steal).

Your description of WG suit better for something made of a cheap but yellow metal: Yes, it looks like gold (bear) but it isn't.

Personally I've never tried bear.

This guy gets it; just go all the way! I think yellow gold looks tacky 90% of the time, but I absolutely love yellow gold Rolex's.
