Trade pan 233 to rolex hulk.
Ok. I decide to trade my P serial pan 233 to rolex hulk. Watch is good condition and OEM strap has been never used because I have other panerai strap. I asked one of my dealer and try to take as much advantage as possible. You know what I mean. So I want brand new hulk even trade or complete hulk with few extra $. What is the best way? I'm tired of loose money from dealer trade....

If any watch deserves to be called a "Hulk", it's the PAM233. A great reference. Shame to be selling it. However see if you can sell it yourself for the best return.

It's funny, but im thinking of doing the opposite. Had a friend offered me his 233 for my Hulk. Still haven't deciding though.

I would keep the 233 - such a great piece.
But if you are set on moving it then try to sell it privately.

I absolutely would do that trade in a heartbeat. That being said I'm not a fan of Panerai watches at all

Think long and hard about that trade, I have moved through a lot of watches over the years. Selling my 233 is a regret.

Now, if you really want the Hulk simply add it to your collection. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Both great watches. Ideally, add the LVc to the 233.

Not in a million years!
The 233 is a functionality you can use in everyday life. 8 day hand wound movement is special and it's worth looking at.
I don't see any gain in trading for that Rolex. |

I'm afraid you won't be able to trade a PAM233 for a ROLEX HULK straight up from a dealer. You will need to add cash.
The Pam is just too soft right now and HULKS are rock solid. This is a perfect example of a "Meh" trade situation. You have a watch with a high retail price that is very nice for sure, but it just isn't as popular on the secondary market...so it makes it harder for the dealer to turn. For that reason they are less inclined to trade it straight up against an in demand, fast seller like the ROLEX. So the typical reaction is a "Meh"....not that interested. They will be more interested if they can acquire the 233 at a low holding cost so it makes it worth their while to sit on it for some time as Panerais like the 233 are a fairly slow burn these days. The good news is that while the 233 is a "Meh" trade, it is not an outright "Pass" as some other PAM models have become I am not bashing Panerai, so don't take offense. It's a great watch, but this is the reality of the market and it's just how it is.... Best case for you if you choose $$$ over less hassle is the sell the 233 yourself and then fund a Hulk.. |
