Trying to decide
Hey guys,
I have been on here for awhile doing research, but am now ready to get my first Rolex. I have a Breitling Navitimer 01 and love the watch but can't get it wet at all which drives me crazy living in Florida. I have narrowed my decision to the no date sub or the green sub (hulk). I am in suits at work most days and very casual and usually boating on weekends. I know it's a personal preference, but I love both. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! |

Since I find the black dial Sub a little "boring" I would pick the Hulk

Smart move. If you plan to wear it to work, with suits, the Sub (LN) will be least inappropriate of the two.

What! I assume you meant lv? The 114060 is probably the best "suit" sub!

I agree. Read what I wrote again. I said it's the least inappropriate of the two. The least inappropriate with a suit of all the Subs. Another way of saying the best suit Sub. Still not ideal with a suit but better than the others, and certainly better than the LV. All in my opinion, of course.

I would say the 114060. I love the Hulk, but I would only want it as part of a larger rotation, not as a one and only.

I don't think you could go wrong with either one but if the choice were mine I'd get the LVc.

They would both compliment your Navitimer
Would go with the Hulk as no date Sub a bit too basic for me, despite betting part of the attraction for many |

You wanna girl's advice?
You need Hands-On experience trying out BOTH watches on your wrist then decide. Having said that, formal black dial matches most outfits, green polarizing not so Really..? I live in the tropics with an average rainfall of 250 cm,rains 200 days a year with one the highest number of thunderstorms & lightning strikes in the world... |

No bad choice here. I was in the same situation and went 114060 but Hulk was very close second. In the end I decided I liked them both about the same...but th 114060 is more classic and less expensive which swayed my decision. But Hulk dial is awesome and made it a very close decision.

I think the Sub no-date is a little plain for a working, casual, and boating.
The Hulk might be a little much for an everyday office watch--though may work in Florida. Only you know that. Other options: Sub date GMT GMT BLNR Gently used Sub no date from trusted seller AND a blue Pelagos |

Had the 114060. Switched to the 116610LV. My vote is go for the Hulk. You won't regret it.

You might get bored easily with the 114060 Sub in sunny Florida. So I suggest you get the beautiful sunburst 116610LV aka Hulk.

just go with your gut and get the one you like the most. don't worry about matching outfits and all that. you'll likely be getting the other one in the future at some point anyway.
ps: i have a 5513 and love it. |

I have both and if I could only keep one it would be the 114060. I think it's as close to the perfect watch as you can get

Easy, pick the one that triggers the strongest positive emotional response when you try it on. The rest is irrelevant.

I would go with the Hulk. The green is stunning and you will not see as many walking around. It works with everything clothing wise. You just can't get hung up that it is not a perfect match. If you get the Hulk and later want the Sub-C ND it is an easy flip with cash coming back your way. If you go Sub-C ND and then want the Hulk it will cost you about $2500 to change out.
