Hope you enjoy the bout-should be a good one.
If Ward slips and gets caught clean with one(or more) punches from Kovalev it will be over early. I predict Kovalev to come out with bad intentions-if he punches himself out or is weary by 6-7th round, it's Wards fight to lose. Ward is bright/savvy enough to evade/counter his aggressiveness-but things happen. Just my Scott |

My thoughts are Kovalev clearly won the first fight. I quit counting after it was the 4th round and Ward tried to tackle Kovalev like 7 times. Ward fights like a Billy Goat. Throws one punch then looks to come in and head butt or clinch.

Kovalev by knockout, Ward on points if the judges get their way again.
Some of the decisions in boxing are so biased at times it's shocking. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Ward gave it to him. Kovalev was looking heavily fatigued and didn't stand a chance after that hit 30 seconds before the body shots.

Anyone think it was stopped prematurely? I didn't watch the commentators afterwards, but why didn't the ref give him an 8 count before actually stopping it?

Ward wins to the body and a standing 8 might have been in order. If 8 count was given then Kovalev would not have excuse or might have been able to continue.
Good time hanging out with friends! Enjoyed watching the fight with Paul (TheVTCGuy) at our home too. Safe travels to Europe my friend...
