Not for me, but it's not too far off my estimation of most modern references.

It's like a Rolex designer was running with a RG Yachmaster in one hand and a bag of jelly beans in the other then tripped. The two combined and he suddenly was inspired.

Personally i think with this that people aren't taking Rolex serious anymore. This is some nasty ugly stuff.

I disagree, around for many years for a reason, beautifully made watch jewellery which requires character and personality to wear. Not for the grey mouse and perhaps the future Paul Newman.

The SACO is very cool in person. If I had the cash, I'd have one in my showcase with my art glass - it's modern art. It may not be to your taste, but there is nothing nasty about it.

Bingo. Pat Sajak can now join Paul Newman and Steve McQueen. This particular model can now be added to the ranks of much-heralded Rolex models named after celebrities (some who may have wore them and some who didn't)

I like it.

So do a lot of people.

Rolex need to make models that people buy.

I don't like the SUV trend that is causing even sport car manufacturers to produce out of character SUVs but I appreciate the extra revenue this brings which enables them to fund R&D on their proper cars.

I Love it, Rolex rep told us the price at the Basel event the other night, roughly 62k for the black dial and 81k for the full diamond dial...lotta dough to be factory iced in rolex land.

I thought it was closer to 45k with just the coloured diamond bezel.

Didn't know they offered it with a diamond dial.

Or are you referring to the leopard Daytona posted later in the thread?

No - the price I recall was just over £30k

I tried to find the price but all I could find out was that the bezel is sapphire not diamond. ~£10k premium for a sapphire bezel seems about right to me?

£48,100 for that watch bang on the nose, I don't know how much the diamond faced one is though
