Hi all,

New to this but Police said it would be a good idea to post on a forum like this.

I had my 2005 Sea-Dwelller stolen on Wednesday. Police and insurers have been notified, but does anyone else have advice on what to post or register and where? Keen to make it difficult for the person that stole it to sell it on.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Stolen from my bag at swimming baths in Newquay along with a pair of sunglasses. Should be covered on insurance, but have a call again with them on Wednesday.

I'm going to post further details here about the serial number etc when I'm home tomorrow in the hope that they might be searchable if a dealer gets offered it.

I'm sorry for the hassle and glad it will be covered by insurance. Seems a good reason to swim with the watch on, especially a dive watch; it is almost ironic.

Sorry about the loss. Post the serial number as soon as you can. At least it may come up in a future Google search.

Very sorry to hear this, but at least you were insured. As others have said, report it to Rolex at St. James, London.

Also, you could pay £10 and have it registered with the Art Loss Register based in Hatton Garden. You'll need the crime reference number ready for both.

Sorry to hear about this, what a terrible feeling. It is good to hear that insurance will cover, good on ya for having it. As others have said I'd contact RSC to inform them and then also post the SN on the internet so there is a record if someone is searching one day.

Glad to hear its insured. I'd also call all pawnbrokers and watch dealers in Newquay as well, just make things as hard as possible for these scumbags, and monitor ebay for a while.

Keep an eye on Ebay, Preloved and Gumtree, I would also put a Stolen/Reward ad in Preloved and Gumtree.
As was said earlier post the Serial Number, Name of the Police Station, the Police officer and their contact numbers on here as soon as possible, then if someone punches the serial number into the net it will come up with this thread.

Sorry to hear about your stolen SD. Have you asked the business if they have any security cameras? Most businesses do nowadays or perhaps another business nearby.
Glad it was insured, best of luck in replacing it or getting it back.

Post the serial number here so we can all be on the look out for it. It will then come up in a Google search if a buyer does due diligence when buying.

Maybe consider registering your serial number with a local pawn broker as well. They will invariably put the word out and let you know if it's spotted.
