Caught a nasty bug!!!

Been drooling over ALS 1815 chronograph blk dial just released in June. See link below from HODINKEE. What a stunning piece with probably the best movement ever made, dial to die for and the openwork back case literally made me fall off my chair. Earlier this year, I acquired 15400ST + 26400IO and thinking to let 1 go...very very tough decision as I love both. Also thinking to release 2 Pams (which I've worn only 5x) to own this holy grail. What do you think?

I would do it, that 1815 with the black dial is awesome. For me the datograph is probably my grail. However with the 1815, now that it comes with a black dial i would seriously consider that. Its basically the dato without the date and at a much more attractive price point.

Flip the Pams for sure. Try to hold the AP's if possible , but for sure keep the ROO as you should always have at least one big watch.

Would do this in a heartbeat, the 1815 chrono movement is a work of art. It's even more-so a 'no brainer' if you're only having to give up 2 PAMs to fund it.

I agree with Tyler to let go of the Pams

Upgrading to that beautiful piece is a no brainer when you have excess watches to contribute to it...

I would, this and the Dato's movements are the most beautiful and mesmerising I have ever seen. At 1.5mm slimmer than the original Dato hopefully it has less of the mini-burger effect on the wrist which was one of the issues at 39mm. I'd sell the PAMs and 15400 if you have to, not the ROO.

If you're not interested in the watches you've got then I'd do it.

Sure why not if the price is right. Otherwise I'm inclined to cough up the difference for a pre owned dato.

I'd absolutely do it! 1815 black dial Chrono is my new grail piece.

I would do whatever it takes to acquire that black-dialed beauty. Whatever it takes.

If you can keep both APs that is obviously ideal...If not, I would keep the 15400 so you have something other than a chronograph in the collection!

Thanks guys for your comments. I've decided to keep both AP's and sell 2 Pams + add extra cash. But the problem now, I went to ALS boutique today and they showed me THE boutique edition (white dial with WG hands) which is also fricken amazing.

Which one to choose - black dial or boutique edition in white dial?

Released 1 Pam, 1 more to go to raise funds for 1815 chrono blk which I ordered 3 weeks ago. Now I'm also thinking to sell my GMT IIc (which I don't wear much) but after changing back to steel bracelet from nato, I'm a bit hesitant to let it go.... I'll might miss this watch.

What would you do?

Given that you do not wear the GMTIIC much, I would suggest the capital is better allocated to a piece that you will wear and enjoy, like the 1815 you are currently seeking and which is a fantastic piece!

You don't wear it much, it can be easily replaced again — get it sold, and get the 1815 Chrono you're obviously much more interested in having!
I promise, there's no rocket science involved in such a simple decision!

Agree, the GMTc is easily replaceable so make sure you stay on course for the 1815, we all want to see pics, seems we are all loving Langes in the AP forum at the moment!

Nice! When does your 1815 arrive?

Still yet to see the black dial version at the NYC boutique.

I'm not a fan of ALS at all but that 1815 black is quite stunning! Good luck with your decision!

I'm not a fan of ALS either as I only collect PP & AP but 1815 chrono blk as well as the boutique edition is, like you say...quite stunning!

The ideal situation would be to keep both.
