Do you wear SUBs, as a dress watch?

Hey folk,
For those of you who have Subs or any other Rolex diver, do you wear them as a dress watch with suit and tie or buttoned shirt?
It seems to me that Rolex divers are really starting to be a jewelry rather then a sport/tool watch. don't get me wrong guys, I think they are absolutely great looking! what do you guys think about it? cheers!

That's so cool to hear! did you buy it new? I am quite afraid to get my explorer wet even though it should be fine, and also terrified to take it to the gym

Got a used 14060m. The Explorer is rated at 100m, and Rolex takes their depth ratings seriously, so you can definitely 'get it wet', and even dive with it.

Do get it pressure tested every year or so if you are swimming or diving with it.

Seriously, the thing I love about divers (and the Explorer or any other oyster case Rolex) is you can beat the crap out of them and still dress it up with a suit and tie. I've never really understood the compulsion to baby a Rolex, but to each their own I guess.

I agree. I think the sub is the ultimate watch in that it is perfect with a tux, or shorts & tee.

Not me, I would feel out of place wearing a sports watch with a suit.

I'm right there with you.

Since I've never been confused for either British royalty or a fictional spy, I choose a more formal timepiece with such attire.

I also wear it with everything (other than black tie). With a suit everyday, surfing, diving, camping whatever.

I wear my sub at the office but we're business casual.

I wear my Seiko divers and my Orient diver at the office, but we're business casual.

I personally don't wear any diver with a suit and tie.

Same here. I usually wear polo shirts or a long sleeve button down shirt with slacks and a nice pair of shoes. Sub goes great with that. I never wear a tie or a jacket to work.

However, I am going to an evening wedding in a couple weeks and I plan on wearing it with a jacket and tie.

Yes, I'm with you!

I work at a NYC law firm and in the summer I wear polo shirts, slacks, & shoes. Spring & Fall I usually go with a button down shirt, slacks, & shoes. Winter I usually go with a half zipper sweater and black jeans.

Any watch is great with business casual. A Sub, GMT, Explorer, Datejust, any diver, any field watch, etc. Even my Seiko green Alpinist!

Whenever I have to suit up (rarely) or wear a shirt /tie, I usually just go with a Datejust.

I personally wouldn't wear a Submariner or dive watch when when wearing a tie, that's just me. But the Rolex Submariner Date and the Datejust are very common at my firm, business casual or suited up. So lots of people I know wear the Submariner Date with a suit.

I've worn my YG to the gym and for tennis and to fancy dinners and afternoon teas, it's very versatile. I'd wear my LVc to all the above.

I have a GMT with PCL's and all black bezel. I think it goes with suit/tie just fine.
But, I agree a DJ is dressier.

I don't own a Sub, but my GMT has the same oyster case and a similar look. Absolutely I'll wear it when dressed in suit/tux
