Touching photo from California fire.

Wanted to share this picture of a woman hugging a firefighter in Santa Rosa, CA.
She's wearing 2 watches. One is a Daytona. Not sure about the other one. Wonder if she grabbed these on her way out the door?

My bad At first glance I thought it was a Rolex. I know if I was evacuating, my watch box would be going with me.

Well it’s a touching photo - I do feel the desperation that must be prevalent in the fire zones. Awful unstoppable grief visited upon a beautiful portion of California. Saddd....

My family and I will be forever grateful to the Santa Rosa Fire Dept, CDF, and all the other Fire and Rescue teams helpings to keep as many people and properties safe as possible.

Our winery and 45 acres of Pinot Noir grapes were spared (for now) because of these heroes.

I can't thank them enough.

They're truly amazing people for what they do, indeed I'm glad this was the outcome for you

Portable property in time of flight ...

After close friends of my ex- lost EVERYTHING in a transformer pit explosion, leaving in pajamas at 2am, the explosion and fire 20 minutes later, I've come up with a 90 second evac plan. Once you think it through, and review it once in a while, it's a little more manageable. A carry-on bag (the one I never use) with three days clothes, 90 days antibiotics, laptop transformer, extra phone (to activate if need be), plus a laptop on the way out the door. Ready for three days or three years on the road.

I'd hate to have to find out just how good my insurance agent is ... but in the end, I'd deal with it.

God bless the responders in California. Some are going into the sixth day with near zero sleep ...

Quite devastating these wildfires and I truly feel like our most of our North California history and character is forever gone. We have family and friends who reside in both Napa and Sonoma who thankfully survived but it'll never be what it was. It saddens all of us more than one can imagine.
