First Rolex arrived yesterday

Yesterday I received my first Rolex, a 14060M Z-serial 2-liner, and I couldn't be happier. My wife and I have a son that just turned 3, and I've loved the idea of getting a watch built to last that I can wear 24/7 and pass down to him when he's of age. I went through all sorts of options but ultimately fell in love with this watch -- clean 2-liner dial, the lug holes, no engraved rehaut, and of course the lovable 93150 bracelet that fits like a glove. This watch just sings to me, and it's built to last a lifetime.

A big thanks to those on this forum that helped my decision. I posted several threads looking for feedback on various watches, and everyone was incredibly helpful. I'm new to TRF, but can already tell this is a unique place.

And I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed getting to do a deal with takuya. His reputation on this forum is absolutely warranted -- 100% smooth transaction, quick communication, and followed up immediately. I can't imagine a seller being better to work with than him. Just top notch.

Without further ado, here's a picture. The watch does have a small scratch on the bezel and a couple of very minor scratches on the crystal which don't show up in the picture. I was planning to take it to get the movement serviced at some point and will replace those, but I might hold off now because I don't think I'll be able to get it off my wrist for some time

I have the very same watch (Z series, lug holes , 2 lines) and I love it.
The only problem is that I bought it for about the same reasons as yours, but since got stuck in Rolexmania and felt the urge of buying several other classic pieces, such as the Explorer, the GMT Master, the good old Air King, a Datejust, etc...
Just be aware that these very unfortunate series of event may also happen to you...
As a teaser, I suggest you read my 3-week quest for the perfect daily Rolex...

And... congrats!

Congrats! I got a two-liner in February of this year and it's barely left my wrist in 8 months.

Classic. My first watch was also a sub to one day pass down to my son.

Now my daughter wants a Daytona. Yikes.

Great choice, Ink - particularly as a "first Rolex".
Pretty-well perfect proportions and lines. Superbly readable in any conditions.
A classic on the wrist.
Now you really are part of the obsession.
