I would try to negotiate down if interested. Not for me at the current pricing.

After sitting that long will need a service. You can add at least $700.00 for the service and all of a sudden you have a very expensive 23 year old Datejust.

That seems rather high to me for the older model. That price is actually very close or more than it sold for new. I dont the DJs hold that kind of value
I bought the same watch but with a factory diamond dial brand new from an AD in 1993 for about the same money. Again, I didnt think they held that kind of value even in perfect condition. |

Thank you guys you are to a great help. I will hold off if its not worth the money. For some reason used watches in Norway are so expensive.

It’s the same in Denmark. But keep in mind, you are living in the most expensive country ;)

It does look to be in mint condition. I don't think it's a bad price. If that's the watch you're after I'd buy it.

Should be closer to $4,000/$4,200 from what I've seen lately - the S&G has not done that well lately.

A 90s safequeen, with 1 year warranty? Always room to haggle but I think that's pretty good.. as far as TT 90s DJs go. I'm just jealous of US Rolex pricing.

Sorry my currency converter screwed up; likely about $3000-$3500 I'd guess.

I owned a TT DJ and took a bath when I sold it and it was in great condition and I just had it serviced. They are very plentiful.
I would keep looking, on Chrono24 maybe or maybe DavidSW, American trusted seller, can ship to Norway. He has a website so you can email him and ask him. |

But why not? A 36 DJ TT new is 10,900... assume 2k off and no sales tax. That’s 8900 to buy a new one. So if he’s asking 3500$ price maybe 700-800 service. That’s 4300 all-in. It’s not a horrible price if the watch is in great condition (and if you’re trying to avoid buying new) but I don’t think it’s the best price and the hassle. But then again, it’s not that different than the 2017s is it?

I think the price is good... As long as the reason you are interested is because you want a super mint TT DJ 16233 with that exact dial.
Because you're unlikely to find it again in super mint condition. Sure, you may be paying a bit over the odds, but once you have it, you won't ever think about the price again. All you'll do is gaze down and smile. Regards |

Is this Datejust worth the money?
I think the older style case with slimmer lugs and brushed finish worked better with the TT Datejust than the current version. If you really want this model and see it as a keeper it's worth seeing how far the seller will move on price because elements like the Green Seal are not contemporary with the original watch.

I think it makes sense. That used DJ would go for around 4000 in the US. google says norway has 25% VAT. So Tack on 25% VAT and there's your price
If you can bring your budget to 6000 USD and get a more recent, better condition DJ, I think that'd be ideal |

two sides , its not the most common dial , and its mint ,,, all good , but you would have to REALLY want that exact spec ,
too dear for a simple dj , but if its actually what your heart is set on , try and buy another the same. one things for sure , you would need to really want it to get the value. just my thoughts , but theres also bound to be haggle room. |
