Smart pills.

Interesting, and perhaps scary, new technology.

A useful tool in the war on opioid addiction or an unreasonable invasion of privacy?

Awhile back, 'smart pills' were generally more along the lines of brain enhancement supplements.

As monitoring devices, the concept is seemingly 'conceptual' at best. Ideally they can/will serve a variety of functions but the jury is still out.

Well let's just assume for sake of discussion that they do in fact work as described.

How do you feel about this technology? Is it an invasion of privacy? Do you worry about other issues with this "tracking" system? Maybe it's a breakthrough that will save lives and limit medication errors?

I know, it's a lot to digest, but appreciate your views.

Some folks can get through their Rx allotment of painkillers and move on. Others can't. Maybe these 'tracking pills' should be utilized/reserved for those who keep coming back for more.

I would posit almost everything Mr. Musk talks about is existing technology that is being introduced to the public.

If I take the pills with some smart water, do I become twice as smart?

This will only work if people agree to and consent to being monitored. Somebody who doesn’t want to have their every dose recorded could refuse this medicine, so there are always going to be limitations,” she says.

If this is as far as it goes, then I see no problems.
But as we all know, things rarely only go as far as they should.

Crack open pills. Take drugs. Ingest pill cases as needed to stay legit. To answer the question, I would prefer not to be tracked.

Not many potential problems with that technology.

These pills might work on some levels. More research and controlled studies will give better data.

Our Government is in Secret High Level Testing of the "Very Stable Genius Pill." One of the participants is providing some preliminary data daily. Stay Tuned...🤡

We already have enough nannying around healthcare. Let adults be adults, make choices, and suffer consequences.
