You should be fine due to the fact that your Daytona, a more recent model, should have a Parachrom hairspring. If you notice any problems of the watch keeping time, just give it more space from the speaker and get the watch demagnetized.

Cool idea! I'd put it in a 12x8 or larger frame/box , and add some of Rolex Daytona pics in the background. Cut a whole in the wall, add a small lock if you're concern..

It would be bad idea more so for the location of the winder being so close to the edge of the table/ drawer...
