TRF can you tell me what airline status you belong to?

I recently got Alaska Airlines MVP gold 75k status after the Virgin America merger. Pretty cool benefits. Does anyone else have any cool airline status perks?

No airline status anymore and I can say I’m happy about that. One of my best friends has hit 2 million miles on United and another is at 1m+ on American both before 35 years old. I gave it up and I miss the airline and hotel points but travel for work less than 20 nights a year now.

Don’t get me wrong our guys trips on airline an hotel points are awesome but I like sleeping in my own bed and seeing my kids every night.

I've been Oneworld Emerald (BA Gold) and Star Alliance Gold (Turkish Elite Plus) for years.

But if we're talking about cool airline perks, I'd say CASS and KCM are the best ones I've acquired recently :)

CASS and KCM is where it's at. Makes my day to be honest.

Maybe on an A380 in the upstairs bathroom because they are huge. Otherwise i have no idea how its even possible. I cant even turn around in there.

Cheers to those who can figure out the logistics though.

Mike High Club?

What exactly does Mike do for you that makes membership in this club so desirable?

Ha! MILE High Club... Mike was a typo. I guess you know what the perks of the mile high club are.

I like the fact that you can't edit your original post anymore.

I've never done the mile high thing personally. Whenever I get on an airplane my goal is to just get through the flight and get off of it as soon as possible. It's not that I don't enjoy flying, I do, but they are just so crowded and you don't have much room to move about.

Freeloader status. Seriously. I have travelled more than 750,000 miles butt-in-seat in business/first class for the last 5 years all on award tickets using miles obtained from credit cards. All the travel from work isn't enough for me to hit anything but the most piddly status Air Canada offers, which is 25K.

I don't fly every week anymore, and Etihad's new management has axed most of the cool perks anyway. I burned up the last of my miles flying the missus in first to India and back. I'm a pauper now.

I belong to the one where they sell me a seat for a good price on a plane that gets to its destination on time without losing my luggage.

yeah, but if you want them to be nice, you need status. Its a "perk" these days

And that is the problem. The airlines hate their source of revenue and are not shy about admitting it.

Passengers don't exist anymore. There is only cargo. Some cargo complains, other cargo sits quietly. Nobody likes a complainer.

i was on a flight a few years ago around Christmas time on a small regional jet flying from montana to denver (united). Plane was overweight due to cargo in the hold so passengers got offloaded instead. 4 or 5 of them if i remember correctly. There is only one (or maybe 2 at the most) flights per day from that airport on UA so they didn't even get to catch the later flight that day and stayed the night most likely. They fly all kinds of paid cargo, like the postal service and it has a higher status than people.

That happens a lot in small market airports. If you fly a lot, and have to be on time, you’re almost better off with a charter.

Delta Platinum and American Platinum. Not saying much. You occasionally get an upgrade. Nothing special.
