For those that rely on Watchville

Been an avid reader of sites like Hodinkee, monochrome watches, watchesbysjx, etc. and just recently stumbled upon Watchville (because of a recent thread posted on TRF).

Watchville seems to gather nearly all of the watch articles across many sites, but what I found interesting was that it didn't pull up any articles from ablogtowatch, which is one of the better known watch blogs. Any ideas why?

I was going to rely solely on watchville to find all my articles, but now it seems I must continue visiting the individual sites so that I don't miss anything...

A couple of years ago they did. I think that they need permission to aggregate from the various blogs and at some point they lost this from this blog. From memory I think it was a two step process where initially A Blog to Watxh was aggregated, then the links still appeared but it would take you directly to their site and then removed altogether.

Govburg's Watchbox app is also very good.

I have the Watchville app and the HODINKEE app and at times they seem identical. It seems very rare that one has an article the other doesn’t. Maybe that’s how ablogtowatch is staying relevant.

I have the app only for the clock feature (a watchmaker suggested it). I've never actually looked at the content and article but maybe I should one day.
