If you had to choose one?
Hi guys,
Just wanting some opinions on which watch would be a better purchase and why. Things I am considering are: - which look is likely to be more timeless - value retention - anything else you can think of They both seem to be about the same price for a used model now. Rolex 116509 Daytona white gold with meteorite dial VS Rolex 116619 Submariner WG Thanks for your input! |

I prefer the 116619 white gold Submariner as I have never really been a fan the Daytona. Love that Sub though.

Hmm, for your requirements I think gold would be the way to go. Day-Date will never go out of style or maybe, as Sarosh wrote and go with a WG Submariner.
With that said, if I would choose a watch for myself, as of today, that would probably be the 116400GV Milgauss. |

Megan's choice
A prestigious timepiece for all Eternity, an extraordinary dial that was created 4.58 billion years ago +/-50 million is unmatched and truly lustworthy. I think the Pepsi WG makes you a mortal earthling after all. The Daytona Meteorite WG on the other hand elevates your stature to another realm of the Universe |

I'd go with the meteorite Daytona... And I'm not a Daytona guy. You can always pick up a classic 5 series Sub in SS to pair it nicely. Look at aphia's photos.

Thanks for all the input guys! I would pair the Daytona with a SS sub but I am allergic to there band with the higher content of nickel. I have a two tone sub that I haven't even bothered putting on in over a year, and when I do, I put it on for a night and that's about all I can take of it. I like the idea of WG since its more casual.

It would depend on what else you own.
I would take the Sub

I like the size of the Sub better and with a PM watch the benefit of the Glidelock clasp can’t be understated.

Oh man! Both are nice but not really a fan of either. If I had to choose: probably would go with the wg sub.

I prefer the WG Sub. The meteorite dial on the Daytona just isn't my thing.

The Daytona. It's hard to beat that dial.
