14060 Condition?
Hey guys.
I got the buyers remorse for my old 14060m, and found this 14060 I can get for a good price. Love this piece. But do you guys think it looks allright? |

Looks great to me. Tempted to get one of these myself. So pure, simple and elegant.

Exactly. The 14060m was my first watch, traded for a Milgauss. But miss the simple design and ever classic look of the 2 liner sub. You have to try other things, to see what you like.

I agree. I much prefer the two line over the 4 line.

Wearing a 14060m shows true connoisseurship and appreciation for classic design, far more than many models costing many multiples more. For me, the 14060m currently represents outstanding value in the second hand market. If you have a chance to buy a mint example, don't let it pass by.

I love the fact the dial doesnt have a whole paragraph on it. Wish my 16610 had far fewer ridiculous words on it.

Those pictures look highly photoshopped to me - no way to tell the actual condition of the watch. I could be wrong (I often am). I like to see those old 5 digit watches held up to evaluate bracelet stretch too.
That said, if I could buy my old 14060M for what I sold it for, I wouldn't hesitate.

I agree, these pics don’t show you much. I’d ask for closeups of the different angles with better lighting.

Hard to tell from photos. Chamfers rounded ?
Lower crown guard seems really thin ? My favorite non vintage sub as well. Dial is not overcrowded with text. |

I have one I bought early on and it has some of the same issues. It's a good watch, runs great, and it's perfect for maritime activities. I had it serviced not too long ago so it's sticking around. I need to wear it more as it's seen little time since the SD 116600 was added.

Like everyone else said, hard to tell from the photos. Do you know what serial it is?
Only things that I can think/see of here: - the chamfer edges look slightly rounded off / polished but it could just be the poor photo quality. not a big deal for me, but if you want an unpolished case this one deserves closer inspection. - Again, this could be the poor photoshopped photo doing this; but the plots look like they are glowing slightly green. Given the T<25 marking on the dial this should be tritium and I assume it would long be dead by now? - Given the above (re: tritium), the PIP is still white, though the last photo shows a slighty green tint in the darker area. I'd just make sure the pip and plots are actually tritium and not re-lumed to luminova. Good luck! 14060's are wonderful and I am enjoying the hell out of mine :) edit: actually, looking at this corner, it looks like it is pretty polished off; again, not too big a deal if you don't care about sharp/unpolished cases, but definitely good to check out in person. there's also the gap between the end link and lug there that you can see the case through - curious if the lugs were thinned a bit, or the endlink is just poorly fitting as my 14060 has no gap whatsoever anywhere between the end links or lugs: edit2: enhance!

Polished more than I would consider acceptable.

UPDATE!
Things took a crazy turn... Went to the dealer and took a look at the 14060. The chambers were polished to much. But the dealer also had a 2015 114060 sub, the year of my sons birth and I was sold. So traded the Milgauss and couldn’t be happier |
