Expected discount from AD on Cartier Tank

My dad is buying a new tank francaise for my mom. What sort of discount is reasonable to expect? It is not a brand I have purchased before.

In my experience minimal. I’d be happy with 10%.

Unfortunately, Cartiers don't get discounted much, which is too bad because, while very nice watches, I find them priced a bit on the high side. I would, however, expect a 15% discount.

If you walk into Cartier just tell them their watch sales are down 26 percent this year if they give you flack about a discount.

Thanks all. I was quoted 15%, so it sounds like that is a fair offer.

I think 15% is not bad for US. If you travel, I suspect that you will be able to get a better deal in EU in terms of discount rate. Then you will have to see if currency exchange rate and possible tax refund would make sense.

Boutique doesn't discount. AD around 10% is doable

Just picked up a Panthere de Cartier watch for my wife for Christmas. Was able to get 9% off from the AD, which put it below the best gray market price I could find.

Have u bought from them before?

I would honestly prolly only think u could get something similar to tax free and a strap so 5-8% + strap. Try tho! Best
