Dream: Got the call for SS Pepsi from Mayors
Last night had a dream that Mayors came through with the new Rolex SS Pepsi. Look fwd to others posting here POSITIVE experiences with Mayors. Was a bit late reserving for the SS 'tona white. SkyD blue, while it was said by two salespeople i was #1 on their list, the call ever came so sourced elsewhere.
Got smart and so only seconds after Pepsi was announced called and left message at local Mayors AD and again when they opened. Let's post positive things about Mayors as they did a great job sending in the Submariner i got from them years ago to be recalibrated. Mayors also double warranty to 10 years. Who here recently got their SS Daytona, BLNR, etc from Mayors? Look fwd to the posts from TRF members about receiving their SS Pepsi during the next week or three. Hopefully Mayors will come through... as they say third time is a charm.

Don’t know this AD but for the publicity you made he should give you the first one that arrives LOL

So you were told you were #1 on “the list” for the SkyD but never got the call, you’re on “the list” for Daytona but haven’t gotten the call, and your only purchase with this big chain AD is a Sub a long time ago? I would have 0 confidence that they will deliver the SS Pepsi and I’d start shopping around to other ADs. Your mistake is thinking these AD “lists” are a meritocracy and because you were first to call you’re first on the list. Your history with them should convince you otherwise.
Sorry to bum you out, but I’m not sure what you’re expecting. |

Fully admit was late on SS 'tona, so no biggie there. The SkyD i perhaps got a bit impatient waiting... waiting... Not sure who got their SS 'tonas / SS SkyD blue from Mayors and hoping a few chime in here saying that's where they got theirs. BTW, do have quite a few mechanical timepiece friends around the world who have been great to me over the past few decades so sourced SkyD blue there when an opportunity presented itself. In the meantime, other AD / friends supplied a DD40 Everose diamond dial plus did a trade for the very rare Patek dealer-only WorldTime wall clock for an Everose 'tona on leather strap. Think that dealer flipped it to Asian auction for $40k. So dealers who are good to me also benefit and do well too :) Time to round-trip back to Mayors and let's wait and see others chime in with their success stories. Look forward to seeing others chime in positively as surely there should be many TRF'ers posting here considering the many Mayors retail outlets.

So maybe that’s the case, he saw mine and said something, but I told him you said you couldn’t get one and when you did it was going to a guy in Texas. He laughed and said, ‘your right’...

I was at one of their locations 2 days ago. They said they expect their first in he next 30-40 days.
Their 30 month 0% interest financing could be useful. |

Over the years, I’ve done business with nearly all the ADs here in ATL (even back in the day at Bailey, Banks and Biddle and Mednikow.) I’ve also purchased a DD from Mayors. Good experience and reasonable discount.
Enjoy your new incoming!

They are normally pretty helpful in the Sarasota UTC location. However last week they didn't have any SS in the window display case.

Mayors is great. No issues.
Doubt you will be getting the Pepsi from them, however. They haven't even started the list yet. |

Steven, is it coincidence that the 3 watches you want are the Daytona, skydweller in blue and the new SS Pepsi or do you just want them because they’re hard to get?

Not like we never see DavidSW posts and he's not an AD. Hear he's an awesome guy to deal with.

Purchased many from there no problem, BLNR, LV Subs, Daytonas, TT stuff, some with diamonds, Cartier, Breitling, pens, and what they want, jewelry, some others. I'm not sure they use a list. The person I deal with there calls me from time to time when something comes in. In fact he just asked did I want the new GMT when it arrives or the next Daytona, I don't.

I’ve dealt with the Atlanta Mayors since 1997 when a relo brought me to Georgia. Good people.

Did you make an agreement with them that if there was a certain number of posts on your thread that you would get the first SS Pepsi?
