BLRO WHITE GOLD. Blue or black dial?

Can pick up this beauty now with the black dial. Love the feel of the weight on my wrist. Or should I wait for the blue dial??? Help!

I love blue dials. But if the dial does not match the bezel, then I think it will look off.

Didn't Rolex say that owners of the black dial can get it switched to blue for free? In that case, might as well get black and see how you like it, and then switch later if you want to.

I was originally thinking I preferred the black dial, but the blue pics above make me less sure. It's a softer blue in those pics, and matches the bezel better. I'd probably want to see both in person if I were deciding.

Now that it’s discontinued, it might not be around (in stores) much longer. Normally I say wait and compare, but in this case, I’d strike while the iron is hot. I have it, and love it.

Agree. I have the black dial WG BLRO. I prefer it over the blue one. But to each his own.

What I have learned:
Changing the dial for free is just a rumour.
If you want to change, you have to pay.

The dial switch nonsense is just rumor. No one has been able to verify this as fact with a Rolex AD or service center. Unless you have some proof of this please stop spreading fake news.

My AD told me that only a very few of the most recent black dial sales would even be considered for a free change. He only offered the deal to two, and both declined.

I think the blue one looks awesome but would have to see them in person to choose.

I tried the new blue one on at a reveal, it's darker in person than I thought. I'd be perfectly happy with the black dial instead especially thinking for a better deal.

I have been wrestling with similar choice: I ended up waiting for the Blue dial.

Why?

First of all: both are great, you can’t go wrong. Black dial is now discontinued model with wg. That might be good thing. But: blue dial has never been an option for this model earlier. I think that with blue dial, it will be collectible some day. With new pepsi black dial: everyone has it with black dial... blue is a little more special, IMO.

Black or blue; stunning watches anyway!!

Blue for me, big fan of them, a sunburst would have been ideal tho. Needs the red hand to keep up the colour scheme so works for me.

You captured that blue really well. Looks great Need to see in the flesh but based on those pics and your logic, I would def likely lean towards the blue dial too.

I would go black. The blue dial doesn't match the blue/purple on the bezel. So you are left with a pink/purple bezel, blue dial and red seconds hand.

That photo that was posted showing the two models next to each other looks very much tweaked colour wise. If it looked like that in person it would be a home run.

The black looks so much better as it’s just right for this watch!

I mean since this is TRF, the obvious choice is get the black dial now and ADD the blue dial to your collection...lol

Okay okay. This is a hard one. Love the classic look of black but i’m Really wanting to see the new blue dial in person. I’m a sucker for blue dials in general if executed properly. As someone else mentioned, get the Black now and wait for the blue to come out and compare. If you like the blue better, send it in to get swapped.
