Not your typical united airline praises

Sitting on my flight from phl to den and ease- dropping on the cabin crew; there is no coffee! Cabin crew attempted numerous attempts to getting some coffee for us, passengers. Even the option of getting a box of Joe's from Dunkin was debated; however, it would go against united strict quality & constancy. Crew member was finally able to secure some bag drip coffees to be brewed but the effort was incredible.

Flying has become a lousy experience. Leg room gets narrower each and every year and flying attendants are all surly and corny most of the times. Don't even get me started ranting about Europe's low cost Ryanair or Easyjet,I've told my wife I'm willing to spend an extra 100 Euro per ticket if that grants me a flight on a "regular" airline.
At the same time you can't blame pilots or flight attendants, the way they have been treated by their employers for the last 15 years it's just plain miserable. I've read something about a pilot with 20 years of seniority that was put on call and lost all of it when two US airlines merged..

I'd still rather have the EU low cost option than not.

My wife and I like to take 2-3 week trips and country hop to multiple places. This would be absolutely insane to book 4-5 'normal' flights instead of the budget ones. When they're only 1-2hours in length, it's honestly not too bad. Hell, when it's only 30-40EUR a ticket, we've discussed booking out the 3rd seat in the row as well, just to have more room.

I find it hard to believe Korean Air isn't on there. Have you ever seen their ads?

They take that crap seriously. I actually got let go from an airline from serving a pina colada with my own pineapple juice to a customer. No warnings just a straight see ya later.

That's straight up lazy on the crew's part. Each plane is supposed to carry an extra cushion and cover in one of the crew storage areas. Plus each gateway has extras.

KLM offered no solutions when I vomited all over myself. Had to sit next to some pissed off people the rest of the flight. Fortunately my dad loaned me some jeans that were 100 sizes too big lol

Sorry for the experience , despite the effort in delivering an excellent customer experience. I'm sure the passenger appreciated it!

Strict quality and consistency are two things I always associate with American airline companies. Thank you for reinforcing this impression of mine.

Glad someone had a positive experience with United, I have yet to really be that lucky. In general the US airlines are a step(s) behind many of the international carriers, it’s glaringly obvious when you are on another flight.

United’s motto.....

Service with a snarl.

I have learned to try and fly other carriers whenever possible, but I live in Denver so I am a hostage.

I had one experience where they broke up my family of four into four separate seats with a 1 and 3 year old due to a flight change when we were away from internet and phone service. My wife went ballistic and the gate agent was actually yelling back at her. I told the agent I was fine with someone sitting next to my screaming infant while I slept on the way back from Maui and the seats were miraculously changed immediately.

Another flight the previous sear occupant must have peed their pants. I got a plastic bag to sit on. For 8 hours. Yet I was an asshole for complaining.

I am hugely thankful that I spend very little time doing domestic travel in North America anymore - from my limited recent trips, the entirety of the travel experience is consistently unpleasant. And in that context, not having any coffee seems a relatively minor issue in the pantheon of indignities that can be suffered travelling on a North American airline.

Almost makes up for the time they dragged that old Asian man off the plane by his ankles or the time they tossed that girls dog in a sealed overhead compartment n it died before landing....United is like Invicta, why would anybody bother.
