New macbook
Got one of the new macbooks last week, wow! I am impressed. Its not a macbook pro, just the regular Stainless macbook. Better by far than any mac or pc I have ever owned. Check one out!

I will wait what 9 January will brings us as rumours about a pending Apple 'NetBook' are mounting. The new MacBooks are indeed fine pieces of machinery and with BootCamp very versatile

It's actually machined aluminum, not stainless steel. And yes, they are very nice.

Why run both operating systems? Won't windows virus issues plague the mac? I have office 2004 for my word dogs and powerpoint the new macs are awesome though.

No, Windows runs in a separate partition, completely isolated from OSX. For me, it would be convenient as I still use some Windows programs for which there is no Mac equivalent. Moreover, Window code doesn't run natively on the Unix that OSX is.

Macs are the best, I'm thinking about getting one next week not the pro just the regular 13 inch MacBook.

I love my mac. I have a mac book and a desktop running xp and I really do love my mac book. I think you made a wise choice because Vista really sucks.

I really hate spending anytime with Windows and am a long time Mac user, but I watched an interesting podcast (Cranky Geeks) the other night and they were commenting that the 64-bit Vista was actually quite good and that the Vista bashing was old news.
Again, I couldn't care less how Vista really works, but possibly they have made recent improvements. |

There are two good thing about Vista.
1. It makes XP seem like a good operating system. 2. It makes me even happier to own a mac! |

I have had an iMac since 2006 and I love it. It has been a joy to use and operate compared to my last three Dell laptops with various operating systems.

I got my first Mac a month ago (Macbook Pro 15"), I was always a bit anti-mac and thought it was all hype but I have to say I was wrong.... they are FANTASTIC! If anybody is sitting on the fence about whether to convert to Mac, just do it! It is worth the initial pain!
