UPS Lost my incoming Skydweller

My long waited black dial skydweller was shipped out last Thursday with overnight delivery to be delivered the next day at 10am. It's been a week now and they cannot find the package. A lost package investigation has been open since Saturday.

Has anyone had something similar to this happen to them?

The shipper unfortunately.

I recently purchased two Rolexes one month apart. Both were shipped by USPS . One overnight and other on Saturday with express delivery for Monday. I received both of them with no problem.

UPS should be able to quickly track your precious package... have you heard any updates?

Moral of these stories, stay away from shippers with name starting with U. :)

Damn, after reading two lost/stolen stories back to back I’m afraid to have my watch shipped.

.
Hadn't thought about that. It does ring true though. Post Office keeps getting worse and half the packages delivered by UPS look like they were run over by a forklift, if they even make it to your door.

Have you ever read the FedEx terms and their insurance? I trust USPS registered mail the most.

I don’t trust anyone who loses nearly 3 billion dollars a year. I use them and still don’t trust them. It’s unfortunately the least expensive way to ship certain things.

My brother sent his TVs home from Harvard after graduating with FedEx. Both packages never arrived. FedEx investigates, finds their employees stole the packages. Claims that is an exemption because it is a "criminal act" and clearly not covered by their insurance or their terms of service which clearly exempts that.

My brother tells them to call our Dad who would be acting as his attorney after a certified letter on his firm's letterhead FedEx pays out the "adjusted" cost of the TVs along with an explanation that they don't think they have to pay it, list the exemptions in their terms of service, and are providing a courtesy.

One bit of empirical experience that drives my choices, and I would guess won't be enough to sway a person if they have already decided they enjoy FedEx' service. I do like their start-up roots, and perhaps especially the story about how their founder staved off a payroll cashflow deficit by flying to vegas and playing blackjack: https://www.businessinsider.com/fede...innings-2014-7 .

Last month UPS shipped me a package that has no watch, just a box of the watch. The package was ripped open and the whole thing was re-tape. I had to file a report with them and the seller. I dont know how they worked it out between the seller and ups but per ups customer service, ups is responsible since the incident occured during shipping. After a week, the seller shipped me replacement. I guess UPS had to reimburse the seller.

Last Saturday the FedEx lady scanned and handed me the wrong box, I only caught it because the shape of what she handed me seemed wrong. There was a 126660 inside my box.

Hu? What's going on with "lost packages"? I'm so not getting my next watch shipped. With age I've come to appreciate peace of mind.

last time this happened to me - UPS delivered the package about a week later - the box had been very expertly opened. I did not notice it when I got delivery - I open the box - all the packaging was there - missing - a 5 oz. US Mint commemorative coin. I was made whole - but what a hassle.

when it shows - take pictures upon receipt.

Stop shipping watches to each other. Go F2F or fly to pick it up.

I absolutely agree. Anything above 10k, I'm flying to pick it up. Southwest is too inexpensive to deal with the risk. I hope the package is found!
