What do you think of this Benz?

Either I haven't been on the forums enough lately, or there has been a lack of new car threads... so.... let me initiate a new one...

I stopped at the Paramus dealership on the way home today to get a new battery for my key... and walking through the showroom was stopped dead in my tracks when I saw the GT C. Oh my!

What do you think?

PS. on a side note, I went there disheveled and looking like a bum (fresh from the gym) and not a single salesperson approached me, even though I lingered in this spot a long time... thought that was interesting.... and wondered it if happened to anyone else, at a car dealership or an AD?

I’m not a big fan of the oversized Mercedes logos on the fronts of their newer line-ups. A deal breaker for me. I also own a BMW so maybe I’m just biased.

It's a gorgeous car. I think Seth (Superdog) has one and each time a picture pops up I fall in love !

Ps. IMHO MB of Paramus is trash. I stopped using them a long time ago. My final straw from them was my 07 C350

I started going to Benzel Busch ...

Yes, I know, wrong forum for a car post, but I have to add my two cents.

I threatened to throw the finance manager of Prestige M/B (Paramus, NJ) thru the plate glass window when buying my AMG. He had the audacity to try and undermine my wife when she walked out to use the ladies room. Like a dope, I still bought the car from them. Never again....

Benzel Bush (Also in NJ) wouldn't even address me until I inquired. Maybe because I was only dressed in a sweatshirt and jeans at the time. I ending up buying my GL from M/B of Nanuet, NY, and have been back to them twice more. Great dealer!!!!!

Funny how what should be a pleasant car buying experience still turns out to a drag....

Sorry for the rant, but now I feel much better!

FYI, my buying experience there was so bad, they gave me three free services.

And I still might not go back and use them. That is how much I despise that place.

They are shockingly horrible. I will never buy a car there again.

At least I am not alone in my anger, LOL!

Try M/B in Nanuet, NY. It is fifteen minutes from Prestige and the owner, Rich Hesse is a great guy!

yes. or you could have 1/10th of paul newman's daytona. i get why people would chuckle at my suggestion because it is implausible but the point is simple. i am not a fan of modern mercedes benz but am so of classics such as the 300sl gullwing or 280sl.

that said i do appreciate what MB puts out there and am an no way saying this car isnt badass.

Benzel Busch and Paramus always have some goodies in the showroom for sure. The GTC is all class. They look smaller in person than in photos though. I’d go with the SL. Convertible and you can save some coin to buy a nice watch to go with it.

That’s nice but prefer the Lambo dealership a little further down the road :)

it's a great car but if you're in a market for GT consider GT R version, well worth the upgrade especially if you like to drive your cars hard :-)

All the time, especially when I drive my beloved Mitsubishi :) However, the well trained employees develop a sixth sense , and do not pay attention to what you wear or drive.

Lol, sorry I went for the low hanging fruit there. My MIL actually lives in Jersey and I’ve had a great time there every visit. And it was an incredible looking car, it just needed a wrist shot to go with it. ;-)

I was wearing an old omega, so you all would have probably made fun of that too, if i had wrist-shotted it! :-)

PS. so, in the spirit of that Rolex forums thread, "is your car and rolex a match?" ... which watch goes best with a mercedes benz GT C?
