The collection...at least most of it

Here is a photo of most of what I have going these days. The last few years has seen some trades and sales and buys. What we have while i am out at the beach....missing is a Black Exp II and another 16600 and a few dress watches. I have been contemplating trading something for the new 5740 PC Nautilus but haven't made up my mind. Also would like to re-ad a WG or PT DD.

Very nice!

I have always liked the white dial Nautilus and I think that blue lapis dial on the Day-Date is one of the most beautiful dials Rolex has ever put on a watch.

Really nice collection!

I’d entertain trading the 116520 and 5726 towards the 5740. You have refined taste

Right now the Daytona C is getting the most wrist time. But for many years now the Exp II has prob gotten the most. It's the SAS model...which i know is somewhat controversial but as a military history and watch but its just one of my all time favorites. The PP's are amazingly comfortable and prob don't get as much time as they should. The COMEX also gets some real wrist time. I actually have 2 SD's. One is a no holes model where i bought a COMEX dial to wear as a beater (have original dial as well) and I also have a full COMEX model that I bought from a prominent watch aficionado/expert. Truth is I LOVE them all!

In 2013, Rolex made a special edition of the Exp II for the British 22 Special Air Service Regiment. The SAS is essentially the father of all modern special forces units the world over. Previously Omega and Breitling had made special editions for the SAS. The Rolex version has the regimental crest on the back of the watch and the regimental motto "Who Dares Wins" on the side of the case. On the case back was also the first two letters of the trooper's last name as well as his ZAP number. The warranty is from Rolex London as opposed to an AD and has the troopers name on it as well. The model has been somewhat controversial in the collectors community and has been equated with the much maligned "SeaKing" GMT. There have been other Rolex Special editions, notably for the UK SRR, another special forces unit. As a military history buff and a watch nut I really love the watches and have one in Black and Polar. In the last few years wanted some "historic" watches in my collection so I added the COMEX first, the two SAS Exp II's and lastly the 6240 which is the first Oyster Daytona. Just a path that I took.
