Submariner date
Aloha guys, I just stopped by the local AD and they mentioned that they could possibly get me a submariner date, black dial, by the end of the year. I just wanted to know if that time frame of a few months is true or will the wait be longer? Thanks guys. Regardless though, my name is down.

I don’t think anybody on here can answer that question for you....
But hey, hopefully it’s true! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The number of customers on their list might be shorter? Their supply might be better?
ADs these days tend to err on the side of caution and state a longer time frame. Considering it's already September, it could come in the next shipment or two. |

Likely true, I know people who have joined a list for a sub with an AD and told it could take a year (UK), in the end it only took four weeks.

I'm hoping it comes sooner than later. Haha. I asked about the hulk and they told me 4 years in order for that to come in. I also got to try on a gold daytona with oysterflex bracelet, felt really nice but at 28k wayy to out of my league..maybe when I turn 50 haha.

Rolex boutique in Milan told me that they had one in stock and sold yesterday and that if I want one they can get me in a couple of weeks. Seems like there is less shortage of hot references...

Seem to be very easy to come by in Italy. The AD in venice and florence (ponte vecchio) both had one.

Ordered mine from my local AD, was number 3 on list and received mine in a month. List was paid in full buyers so they received three in that timeframe

Submariner dates seem to be easier to get, probably more so than non-date as all the hype is around the GMT at the moment. Both Rolex & Patek SS watches are in high demand, but I would not let a long waiting list put you off, regular visits to an AD will pay off.

I’m on the list at a 3 local ADs for the SubC Date. At one I was 11th. At the other, they more so just took down my info (I went in person to both) and asked if possible to get by 10/6 - I went it on 9/3 - and he said he’s known to work miracles before. So it’s definitely possible to get it before end of year. I def expect to get mine by then.
What’s more is that the third AD is the one I actually have a relationship with and said they have 60 people on their list so who knows when they’d be able to get me one. Good luck! (To both of us ha) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If the local AD assured you that it will be available before the end of the year, be rest assured that it will be available

I still haven't gotten word of it coming yet, just gave my contact info yesterday and they mentioned a week to "hopefully" by the end of this month. So we'll see. For reference, I also put my name down for an explorer 2 about a month ago and I got the "probably 2 weeks thing" but still it hasn't came in either.

That's sounds reasonable, my AD has had 2 Subs and 2 Gmt Lns available in the last month. Good thing your down with the Christmas shoppers coming soon I'm sure more people will be dissapointed than last year. My AD also showed me an Expll Polar two months ago the day it came in still in the coffin I bought it the next day, they haven't had one since. It seems everything is going to be hit or miss for awhile.
