Recommendations for Vintage 1979
Looking for recommendations on watches that might be good picks for a birth year watch from 1979. Can't do a Daytona to go with my vintage 2018 that was purchased for my son, since I don't have $75-$85k to spend but looking for other options, preferably under $10k.

For under 10k you won’t be getting anything in the sports line. I’d get a datejust. With that budget you could buy NOS or 18k gold if you wanted.

Try a Submariner 1680 or a GMT 1675 or possibly a GMT 16750 with a very low 6 million serial number. There are others but those would be my preferences.
Good luck and remember, condition should be paramount not necessarily the year.

Under 10K is a stretch. Up it to $12000 and you could land a 1680 white or add a bit more $ for a 5513. __________ Instagram: @onthedial |
